The Next Day

It's a beautiful day. The sun is shining. Birds are chirping, and Oliver is going to say how he feels. What could go wrong?

Oliver wakes up feeling better that someone knows how he feels instead of keeping it in. Joe was right. This was a good thing to do.

"If I was you," Joe began "I would apologize for yesterday afternoon and then go into the reasoning. I think that would make sense." He finished and Oliver nodded. He was going to apologize no matter what, confession or not, but that was a great way to ease into it.

"I definitely will. I think I will tell her when we walk back from tutoring together." Oliver noted and Joe smiled. He's so proud of his brother. A year ago, he would have never done this but he is today. He's growing and he knows Sara is a part of that growth too.

They hear a door close and they finish up and open the door to see Sara Lin waiting. They both say good morning to her.

"Good morning Joe and Oliver. How are you two?" Sara asks smiling. They both say good and Oliver decides to apologize in the morning. He'll go into detail more later along with the confession.

"I wanted to apologize for yesterday Sara Lin. I had a lot of things going on and I just didn't know what to do. I never wanted to make you feel sad. I'm sorry". Oliver says and Sara gasps a little. The apology was very sweet and she was glad he was okay.

"Thanks for telling me Oli. I'm happy you're okay. I even made you this." Sara says, giving him the brown bag. "We had soup yesterday for dinner and I think it's a good pick-me-up so I wanted to give you some," Sara says, a hint of red coming on her cheeks and his and Joe noticing this time. Joe decided to mess with her.

"And where is MY soup, Sara Lin?" Joe asks, pretending to be hurt and Sara panics. "Joe! OMG, I am so sorry. I can run back in right now and-" she stops mid-sentence when she sees him laughing. "Joe!" Sara says and he smiles, saying he was kidding.

"When you two are done staring at each other, we have to get to school," Joe says, smirking a bit. Both Oliver and Sara's faces turn red as they walk towards the elevator with Joe. He hoped that saying it out loud would help boost Oliver's confidence.

They make it to school and say bye to each other, going about their days and classes until it is time for lunch. Joe catches Oliver before he sits.

"Go sit next to Sara Lin" Joe whispers and Oliver's face turns red. "We kind of have a set system so I wouldn't wanna mess with that," Oliver says, shaking his head and Joe laughs.

"I'll start it off then you follow. Simple" Joe starts and sits across Sara Lin, her raising her eyebrows at him. He doesn't usually sit there so she's surprised.

"Hey, Sara Lin! Oliver and I want to mix it up today. Can Oliver sit next to you?" Joe says innocently with a smile. Sara laughs nervously and moves her backpack down.

"Of course, he can. Come on Oli!" Sara says, mentally freaking out. She wasn't expecting this today and is starting to wonder what has gotten into Joe. Oliver looks towards Joe, shooting daggers with his eyes, but sits by her and they wave at each other. Oliver and Sara swear they saw each other's faces get red but they didn't want to believe it was for each other.

It is getting hot. Yeah. That was it.

The others eventually joined and while Tammy was confused at the new setup, Patrick knew what was happening the moment he saw it and smiled.

"Good for Subs. Finally making a move." Patrick thought as he sat between Tammy and Joe. Sara was even more confused. Does everyone know something she doesn't?
