Since the day she can remember Ella has been a ferrari fan. Even before she started watching formule 1, she just loved the look and sound of a Ferrari.

Now as a 28-year-old she was obsessed with F1. Unfortunately, as many other female fans everybody just assumed she was a fan due to the looks of the drivers. She always had to defend the fact that she really was a fan of the sport itself. She just loved watching cars go vroom-vroom in circles.

It was now July and the excitement of going to the first grand prix in her life was becoming bigger by the day. She was finally able to save enough money to go watch the cars race in real life. She really hoped it was going to be a good race for Ferrari, since so far, her team was not able to live up to the expectations that came with being Ferrari.

Since Ella lived in belgium she was going to the grand prix in Spa-Francorchamps, together with her friend Lottie. They really bonded over being girlies in a men's sport. Ella loved Lottie, the only downside was that she was a McLaren fan at heart. But that also made watching the races that much more excited, since they were both rooting for other drivers to have a great race.

                                   — Ella POV—

It was already Monday 24th of July, I was getting more and more excited to watch my first GP, ever. Together with Lottie, we made the perfect plan on what our weekend would look like. We planned on watching as many races as we could and go visit the fan zone when our favourite teams were doing interviews. We agreed on watching both the Ferrari and McLaren team.

Since it was the first time watching the GP in real life, I saved enough money to be able to watch the race from a grandstand. We had tickets to sit in the chicane, it took us quite some time to decide in what corner we would watch the race. But we decided on the chicane, since the cars would slow down here, and we would hopefully be able to also see some overtakes.

As always, the belgian weather was giving us some concerns, it had been the hottest summer in ages, only this week the weather gods decided to screw us over. It had been raining nonstop, so I was really hoping that everything this weekend would be able to proceed as planned. I was hoping on not having a repeat of last year's belgian GP.

Since we planned our trip a year in advance, I was able to book a nice hotel in Stavelot. It was walking distance to the track and we would have some luxury compared to sleeping in a tent. This way we would be fresh and well rested to fully experience this weekend.
