Chapter 41

— Carlos POV —

I call my team immediately, clearly trying to protect Ella didn't work out the way I hoped.
'Hi, Carlos here, Ella is with me here as well, we may have a solution. Can you set up a meeting with Derek. Ella is willing to drop the charges if he provides her with all the pictures he has on her.'
I really hope this works. If all the Derek drama has passed the next thing I'm going to do is win Ella back. 'Sure Carlos, we will get the ball rolling, is Ella sure about this? What he did to her isn't something that can be easily forgotten.' My team says on the other line, I look at Ella, this is her decision. 'I'm sure, I just want Derek out of my life.' Ella says with a lot of determination in her voice.

We end the call, now we wait. 'Ella, I want to t-' I start to say, however I am being interrupted by Ana.
'Babe, why are you spending all your time with her.' She gives Ella a dirty look and leans closer to me, then she whispers in my ear, 'you wouldn't want paparazzi to see that you are spending time with her instead of your girlfriend.' She leans away again and looks at my with a grin. I really don't want to be near her again, but she has a point. As long as the deal with Derek isn't closed yet I have to be careful.

'Ana, we don't have to pretend in front of Ella, she knows you aren't my real girlfriend. I told her the truth, but you are right we do have to pretend to still be in a happy relationship until everything is taken care off.' I look over at Ella, she is giving me a death glare. I grab Ana and go to the sun-beds with her, I just want this day to be over. Maybe bringing her on a trip with Ella wasn't the best idea.

After spending some time in the sun I check my phone, we have a meeting with Derek next week. I go to Ella, using this as an excuse to talk to her again. 'Hi Ella, we have a meeting with Derek next week, my team was going to sent the details over to you. I'm really sorry about the situation with Ana. I really did this to protect you.' I tried apologizing to her again. 'Carlos, I get it somehow, but you really broke my heart! And not just that but I let you in, and you did the same as Derek did. You tossed me aside and already had somebody ready to take my place. I know it may not have been real, but it felt real to me. It still broke my heart and all the walls that you broke down. They went up again because how you made me feel.' Ella broke down in front of me, I leaned forward to hug her but she stopped me.

'Please don't touch me! Just please get away from me.' She says between her sobs. Lottie reaches us and stands between us, 'you heard her, I think you've done enough!' She is giving me a deathly look. She turns around and wraps her arms around Ella, ' hey babe, i've got you okay. Come here let it all out.'
I turn around and start to walk away, but I can still hear Ella say, 'Lottie It just hurts so bad, I really liked him a lot I could have even loved him. But how can I ever trust him after what he did to me.'

My heart just breaks hearing her say this, I really did hurt her.
