— Carlos POV —

Today was race day, I woke up from knocking on the door. 'Carlos? Are you up? I need to talk to you. It's about Ella.' I open the door for Lando. 'Did something happen?' I instantly see the concern in his eyes, 'Carlos, I need you to promise to stay calm and promise you won't leave. 'Lando just tell me what's up!' I just want to know that she is okay. 'Carlos you have to promise!' I love that boy but right know I don't like him very much. 'Fine! I promise, now tell me.'

Lando tells me what happened, that Ella was meeting with Derek for drinks. This I already knew by the post. And that he was getting touchy and when Ella didn't like it he drugged her to take her back to his place to rape her. But luckily she was able to text Lottie and she was able to get her out and to the hospital. I was fuelled with rage, that little fucker. First taking me away from her and then trying to take advantage of her.

'Lando thank you for telling me, who told you this?'
Lando has a shy look on his face, 'I have been talking with Lottie these past weeks, so when Ella fell asleep she called my crying. She just needed somebody to confide in. She was very scared that she wouldn't be in time.' Thank god Ella had Lottie by her side, I feel nauseous just thinking about what could have happened. 'Can you give me her number I want to call her?' Lando is thinking about it. 'Sure, but be nice!'

My hands are trembling when I enter the numbers. I'm waiting for Lottie to pick up.

I dropped myself on my bed, what did I do? Why didn't I try harder to find a way to stop Derek. I just gave up on her. I called my pr manager and asked her if they had already come up with a plan. I wanted to be with Ella to support her trough this all.

'Carlos I know it's hard but try to focus on the race.' Lando said, pulling me out of my thought's. 'I will try buddy, I really appreciate you coming to me. Thank you so much.' I gave him a hug and we both got ready for the race.

I arrived in the paddock and I was greeted by Ana, she gave me a peck on the lips. I could hear the sound of the cameras capturing that moment. She reached up, 'you better sell it a bit better, you don't want people to think we are fake dating? That would be bad for your reputation.' God I hated this woman, she pushed our lips together and placed her hand on my neck to lock me in. She then pushed her tongue in my mouth, what an attention seeker. I just follow along, not having the energy to fight her on this. She finally decides she has enough and locks our arms together. 'Let's go' she says with the fakest smile I have ever seen.

I get ready to start the race, pushing everything out and only thinking about Ella. I want to be on the podium for her.
