Chapter 57

— Carlos POV —

The past week had been great, I was really worried that Ella was going to be mad for the pictures. But the opposite was true, it brought us closer together. That girl really is full of surprises. Today I was going to the track for some media duties, track run, stuff like that. Ella was joining me, she was also very excited to meet everybody.

We arrive at the track, it's still very calm. Since today the only fans who will be here are here for the pit walk. I get out of the car and open her door for her. 'Okay mi cielo, would you mind if I hold your hand or do you prefer not to?' I don't want to hide her, but I want her to feel comfortable. 'Don't be silly I want you as close to me, after this weekend I won't see you as much. So I'm enjoying the moment.' She says pulling me close to her.

We arrive at the garage, I introduce her to everybody and try to explain what everybody is doing. I see she is completely in her element when she can talk about the technical part of it all. 'Okay mi cielo, I have to leave for a second will you be fine?' I ask her, she quickly turns around, 'sure babe I'm just going to wait here.' She gives me a gentle kiss and I leave for my media duties.

'Hi mate!' I greet Charles, we have some video challenges planned today. While the team is setting everything up we take the time to chat a bit. 'So I noticed you brought Ella with you? Everything back to normal between you two?' He asks me. 'Yes everything is going great between us, it went better then I could have hoped. She has completely forgiven me. And we are together, officially a couple. So it couldn't have gone better.' I say happily. 'I'm happy for you men, to be honest also happy for myself. Good to have my happy, enjoyable teammate back.' He chuckles. 'Hey I wasn't that bad!' I give him a playful push. 'Mate you where the worst, all depressed and gloomy. You have to properly introduce her this weekend. I would like to know who stole your heart.' He gently squeezes my arm.
'Will do so buddy, oh I think they need us.'

After we shot our video's Charles and I make our way back to the garage. I try to find her but I don't see her, I check my phone to see if she sent me anything. But nothing, 'hi Carlos, if you are looking for Ella she isn't here anymore. She left us to go with the analysts. They where going to explain some things to her. She really is a smart and fun girl, you are lucky to have her.' One of the mechanics says. 'Thanks mate, she clearly already made quite the impression.' I respond, Charles and I make our way to where Ella is supposed to be.

When I enter the room, I instantly spot her. She is in a serious discussion with the rest of the team. I call her over so I can properly introduce her to Charles.
'Hi mi cielo, it looked like you where having fun? I wanted to properly introduce you to Charles. Last time was kind of a brief meeting. So Charles this is my girlfriend Ella. Ella this is your favourite driver Charles Leclerc.' Ella starts to get a blush on her cheeks. 'Hi Carlos, hi Charles! Really nice to properly meet you. I have been a Ferrari fan since I can remember. Are you guys done with your media duties already?' She says looking at me with sparkles im her eyes. 'Good to know I am your favourite driver, I'm sure Carlos likes that very much. Very nice to finally meet the girl Carlos hasn't shut up about. I feel like I know you inside and out. He really was the worst whe-' I interrupt Charles before he can embarrass me even more. 'That is enough about me, thanks Charles.' After some more small talk we head back to the hotel.
