Chapter 54

— Ella POV—

We arrive in the most beautiful park I have ever seen. We walk along the water and talk about everything that pops in our head. 'I'm really happy that you came.' Carlos says suddenly. 'I will keep trying until you are ready to let me in again.'
I stay quiet for a while, thinking about what to respond. 'Ella?' Carlos says carefully, 'will you ever be ready to let me in again?' I don't know what comes over me but I suddenly grab his hand in mine. 'You are so clueless sometimes, I have already let you in again. I don't want to fight it anymore. I have missed you and this so much.' I say in one breath.

Carlos looks at our intertwined fingers, he has the biggest grin on his face. 'You don't know how happy I am to hear that!' He says. We have reached a secluded part and decide to sit down. I sit between his legs with my back against him. 'I could stay like this forever, I wish you could be with me all the time.' He says in my ear. ' I know, but I have my own job to think about, my friends, my family. I will do my best to visit as much as possible. But it won't be every race i'm afraid.' I say sadly.

'Have you ever thought about getting a job in f1? I mean with your engineering degree it would be a possibility.' He says hopefully. 'No not really, it's not really a world that you can enter so easily. Why you asking? Really looking for a way to keep me with you?' I turn around to face him. 'Yes, I want my girl with me.' He bites his lip saying that last part, seeing how I will react. 'Your girl?' Leaning closer to him. 'Only if that is something you want?' He is looking at my lips and he is again biting his damn lower lip. 'I love the sound of that.' I close the gap between our lips. It's a sweet, lovely kiss.

'Okay let's go back to the hotel, we can order some roomservice and watch a movie.' Carlos says. 'Sounds perfect babe, before someone sees us.' I start to get up. 'Would that be so bad?' Carlos says sadly. 'I'm sorry? Would what be so bad?' I'm not sure what he's talking about. 'That someone sees us? I would love to have you by my side. I want you in my garage during a race. I don't want to hide' he says looking at me intently. 'Okay' that's all I say and turn around.

Carlos comes running after me, 'okay? What does that mean?' I look up at him, 'okay, we won't hide and I will be in your garage sheering you on. If that really is what you want, then that's what we'll do.' I grab his hand in mine and we go back to our hotel.
'Okay you order us diner and I will find us a movie to watch.' I say while getting on the bed.
