Chapter 47

— Ella POV —

'Lottie, are you ready? Get over here they are about to call!' I yell at her. I don't know why but Carlos and Lando said they would call us. And we had to be together. They wouldn't tell us why, so we are both running up and down with nerves. 'Lottie, get your butt over here! The phone is ringing!' 'Coming babe!' Lottie yells while running over to the couch.

'Hi guys, good to see you both' I say when I pick up the phone. Carlos looks very handsome as always. It has been a while since I have seen him. 'So girls we have a proposition for you two. We were wondering if you girls maybe would like to support us in the race at the US.' Lando asks happily. 'What now?' Lottie and I both say, 'you want us to come to the US? But how? And when? Omg I have so many questions!' Lottie yells happily.

'So we were thinking that we could meet up the week before the race. And then you could stay until the race. We will take care of the flights and everything. We just want you girls by our side and cheering for us.' Lando said looking nervous. Lottie and I looked at each other with shock. 'You guys are crazy, we can't just go to the US, we can't right?' I look at Lottie questionable. ' I don't know? It sounds crazy right, but fun crazy! If we would go we would need to arrange so many things.' Lottie says clearly excited.

'It would be a unique experience, but I don't know if I can. I would have to check with work if I even can take some time off.' I say, I know that's not really true. I know I can take time off if I want to. But I'm just not sure if I want to do this. 'How much time do we have to decide?' I ask the boys. 'Maybe by the end of the week? Then we still have enough time to get everything sorted out.' Lando says. 'Let us talk about it and we will let you know!' Lottie says happily.
We hang up the phone after some more small talk.

'Okay spill it, why the hesitation to go? I know you, I know work isn't really the issue. Not ready to forgive Carlos yet?' Lottie really does know me best. 'I think I already forgave him to be honest, it's just that I don't want to get hurt again. I don't think I can take that. I wont survive, so if I don't let him in then I can protect my heart.' I start crying. 'Babe, you can't keep everybody away just to make sure your heart doesn't get broken. That wouldn't be a way to live. You have to embrace love. And I really think Carlos can give you that. I know I was angry with him too, but you should really give him a chance.' Lottie is right, I really do trust Carlos.

'So we are going to go then?' Lottie screams at me. I give her a little nod. 'Omg I'm going home and I'm going to call Lando back, I can't wait to see his face!' With that she runs out the door. I decide to take a warm bath to relax a bit. I let the water run and add some soap. I let myself sink in the water and start listening to some music. Suddenly my phone starts to ring, I grab my phone and check who is calling.
