Everyone was waiting to hear my response. I knew exactly what I wanted, but I was frozen by amazement at the chain of events leading me here.

"Yes, I accept," I replied. The master smiled at me and released both of us to stand up before him. For just a fraction of a second, I thought I saw Muichiro smile, but it was gone before I could tell for sure. How strange.

"Excellent. Your new residence will be at Muichiro's residence," he turned to face Muichiro who kept his attention on the master but didn't seem particularly excited, or much of anything really. "I trust you will you will train her well," he said. Muichiro nodded before turning away from the both of us.

"Let's go," He spoke coldly, silently telling me to follow him. I nodded, unsure what else to do. It's not like I have no one to mention my sudden move to, or any belongings besides my demon slayer uniform on my back. I followed suit as Muichiro started running towards his Estate. I suppose my training has already begun, he wasn't lying. I followed suit as we ran about an hour East until we finally arrived at what I assumed was his Estate.

It was a beautiful house, similar to the Butterfly Estate but with hints of turquoise flowers and water flowing everywhere. It was stunningly beautiful, and now that the sun was setting, there was a light mist starting to form on top of the water, giving the entire property a serene experience.

He didn't slow down as he opened the door to his home where he was greeted by four servants who welcomed him back in unison. I was surprised. He looks so young yet he has such a beautiful property and servants working for him. They wore uniforms that signified their jobs, a chef, a gardener, and two housekeepers.

"She is my new tsugoku, Kazi. Make sure to fulfill all of her requests," he ordered while keeping his face straight. He sounded bored but I felt a slight blush appear on my face when he told them to fulfill my requests. I never had servants before, making me a bit unsure of how to act. Muichiro looked back at me and moved his head, telling me to follow him as he took me down a hallway with two rooms across from each other.

He opened the door on my right, revealing a beautiful new room. It had a few small plants with blooming baby blue eye flowers.

"This will be your room. This one," he pointed to the room directly across, still closed behind a door. "Is mine. We will officially start your training tomorrow morning," He explained to me coolly. He didn't even hesitate before turning away again to see if I had any questions. I didn't mind. I was already getting used to how fast he turned away and seemed to move on his own. I found it kinda attractive, but I quickly forgot that idea and went to settle into my new room.

Without many things to put away, I decided to make myself something to eat. I hope it will help me settle my mind as well. I couldn't stop thinking as to how or why he chose me as his tsugoku, and how strange he is. Does he remember saving me exactly a year ago? Does he know today is my birthday? Not like I want to celebrate it anyway after last year.

I quietly moved down to the kitchen. It wasn't late, but I hate to make noise so I tend to move as if I am gilding so people don't hear me walking. The kitchen was empty but huge. I spent some time looking around for things and started to prepare my favorite food, furofuki daikon.

After preparing my dish, I sat down, ready to eat only to hear his monotone voice behind me again.

"Did you make that?" He asked me without any expression. I was surprised, but I kept my cool as I turned to face him. I didn't even hear him enter the room.

"Yes," I replied quietly.

"Why? You have servants now," He asked me with curiosity peaking in his eyes. He was staring at my food.

"I suppose I do. Yet, I wanted to make it. It is my favorite food, I like the way I prepare it," I replied. It was the truth, but also, I still felt uncomfortable asking others for help.

"You think your version is that good? Make me some then," He demanded before sitting down beside me, waiting patiently. I hadn't even taken a bite yet, but I passed my plate to him and rose to make another serving for myself.

I saw him look at it curiously before taking a bite. I thought I saw a small smile before it disappeared quickly again.

"Well?" I asked him. I held myself back from crossing my arms. Despite being the same age, he seemed to hold himself differently from me, and he was my superior after all. I tried to hold back my defiant nature, for now.

"It is good. You impress me, furofuki daikon was already my favorite. I am surprised you made it better," He complimented me even though he held the same monotone voice. I smiled at him and thought I saw a small blush spread across his face for just a moment when he realized he complimented me.

"Thank you. Perhaps I have earned a question from you?" I asked. I was hopeful his good mood now would get me some answers. He nodded his head.

"Okay. You can ask me a question," He responded. I continued cooking while he watched me and took a moment to make sure I asked the right question. I had a million in my mind, but I didn't think he was the type to let me ask them all.

"Why did you choose me as your Tsuguko? Do you remember when we met?" I asked.

"That's two questions," He replied to me, with a small hint of mischief on his face. I had a feeling he enjoyed acting this way with me. "It should be obvious. Mist breathing is a rare breathing style, and difficult. If I hear someone is as talented as you, I should train them. That is what the master told me," He replied unimpressed while he took the last bite of the plate. He pushed my plate like he was asking more. surprising me so I gave him another serving and continued cooking.

"A-alright," I replied, unsure how to process his response. He didn't answer my question, but I wasn't sure I was going to get any more answers out of him if he wouldn't reply to remembering me. It seems like the Master told him to find a tsuguko anyways, so it isn't that surprising I suppose.

"Is becoming a tsugoku, not a good enough gift to celebrate being a member of the demon slayer corps for one year? On your birthday no less," He asked me without so much as changing his facial expression. Does he remember saving me??
