Bonus chapter and Authors Note

Yuichiro's POV:

I look down at the tiny humans. I knew they were still infants, yet, there was something unsettling about them.

I never cared much for any humans except the two I chose. They were fine. I enjoy their calm nature. However, their offspring are completely different!

The offspring looked at me. One is calm like the parents, but she unsettles me regardless due to her eagerness to assist her sister in capturing and tormenting me.

The mischievous one has spotted me on my shelf though, looking up at me with longing in her sparkling blue eyes. Luckily, they cannot climb or walk.

Unexpectedly, the small creature stood up on its small legs. I have never seen it do that before. They tried to come towards me but still clumsily fell on top of their sister and started to cry. At least I don't have to worry about that yet, but it is still concerning. I should make sure they are okay.

As I gently climbed down to investigate the offspring. As soon as I was close, the crying immediately halted, as if-

The mischievous one grabbed me and pulled my body against hers as the sister made sure to help so I couldn't escape. I tried to stretch and escape but it was futile. I was subject to their head pats and rubs on my belly. This is the last time I try to help them.

"Kitty kitty," the mischievous one giggled, alerting my saviors.

"Will you girls leave the poor kitty be?" My female savior called out as her partner laughed and pulled me away from the girls.

They didn't cry again, but instead looked furious and the other back to her neutral state. I allowed my Savior to scratch my head gently before he placed back upon my throne. (The shelf).

MC POV:

"They sure do love Yuichiro kitty. He is cold like my brother, but he still checks to ensure they are okay like him too," Muichiro stated calmly as he gave a few gentle strokes to the very annoyed cat.

"Yeah, I suppose your right. Where did the girls learn to fake crying though to get his attention?" I pondered before it clicked. The boys have been visiting more often, including Zenitsu. I bet they saw how Nezuko always comforts during his frequent fits. "Nevermind, I know who is responsible."

Muichiro looked at me with a sweet smile before he laughed. "Me too, but the girls love them all. Especially Kanao and Tanjiro, so we can't do anything about that," he stated logically.

I let out a sigh as he pulled my waist close to him and embraced me in a gentle kiss. His lips were so soft, even if I kissed him every second of every day, I could never grow tired of feeling his lips on mine.

He pulled me closer to deepen our kiss before our girls started to make fake disgusted sounds. Our kiss broke in reaction but we couldn't help but laugh at the look of annoyance on their faces.

There was a excited knock at the door suddenly. I knew only one person who that could be as the girls eagerly started crawling towards the door. We followed suit and opened the door to see an excited Mitsuri with holding her small baby boy in her arms.

To her side was Obanai and behind the was the three boys with Nezuko, Kanao, and Aoi. Walking towards the porch was Tengen and his wives holding their two children. It looks Suma recently got pregnant as well. I was happy they all could make it for the girls first birthday as we welcomed them all in.

The girls were confused but excited to see everyone at once and started to play with the other kids excitedly.

"Already been a year huh?" Tengen asked nonchalantly as the twins started to tease Tengen's sons. They were excellent at working up Suma and Makio as well since they inherited their father's  deadpan expression after causing trouble.

"Yeah, I can't believe it!" I said while bringing out all the food I spent the morning prepping. If Yuichiro kitty hadn't watched them earlier, there's no way I would have finished it all.

"Are you going to teach them mist breathing?" Tanjiro suddenly asked while holding Kanao's hand. How cute, I heard they recently got engaged.

Muichiro and I sat in silence for a moment. We had pondered it before, but never reached a conclusion. He held his hand to his chin as he always does when lost in thought.

"We plan to teach ours what we know for self defense. Never know what future generations will face, but we won't train them like how our families trained us," Tengen explained. His wives in unison, seemingly not wanting their own children to experience the horrors their families inflicted on them.

Mitsuri and Obanai looked at each other and nodded their heads in agreeance. Mitsuri didn't speak though as she was currently eating all the Mochi I prepared for her with a smile on her face.

"If we have kids, I will for sure teach them beast breathing or they won't survive in the mountains!" Inosuke shouted before Aoi started to hit his back.

"We aren't even engaged yet, why are you spouting nonsense about kids?" Aoi asked him angrily. Inosuke looked at her confused.

"Huh, I thought we were for sure going to get married soon. How do we get 'engaged'?" He asked her as her face turned to a bright blush causing us all to laugh.

"I suppose that settles it. We will pass down what we know, but pray they never have to use it," Muichiro stated as he turned his focus towards me.

I agreed wholeheartedly. We all collectively helped make a world free from demons, but we have no idea of the future battles to come. We shouldn't let our knowledge of breathing styles be forgotten to time.

I looked over to see all the kids playing together. The room was full of chatter and laughter. My heart felt full. We all individually have gone through so much pain, yet, we all stand together smiling through it all. I never would have predicted this on that faithful night I met Muichiro.

He seemed to notice I was lost in my thoughts as he pulled me close to him again and gave me sweet kisses on my cheek. There was a array of "so cute!",  behind us, but I didn't care. I could only focus on Muichiro and smile at him.

"I love you," I said softly.

"I love you more. You are truly unforgettable," he spoke to me softly as he held me close to him. He kissed me gently again as warmth and love filled my heart that is unforgettable.
