When I asked Muichiro when our wedding should be, he simply looked up into the night sky pondering to himself. He held his hand to his chin again and let out a soft 'hmm' noise. He was so cute when he was lost in thought.
"How about two months from now?" He suggested after a minute of silence between us.
Two months. That would be plenty of time to allow our friends a break from their missions to attend, at least for a few hours. Vacations were rare for hashira, but possible. It would also give us ample time to prepare.
"Okay!" I beamed as he smiled at my excitement.
He wrapped his strong arms around me and held me close to his chest. I could feel his breath on my ear as he whispered, "I can't wait to make you my wife. Then, everyone will know you are mine and I am yours,".
His words made my face burn. But I could feel my heart beating in agreeance. I desired the same as him. Every fiber of my body wanted to be his wife and make sure everyone knew just how much I loved him.
"And that you are mine, and I am yours, until the end," I replied as he started to give me quick kisses all over my cheek again sweetly.
His sweet kisses caused me to giggle as my emotions flooded me again. I never felt so happy in my life, and the sweet smell of the wisteria flowers combined with being at the mountain we were born on only made each moment that much sweeter.
"I love you," I told him as turned me to the side and held me in his arms.
I was looking up into his beautiful turquoise eyes as his hair, now wet, still hung so beautifully around him. He leaned in and our lips met in a sweet kiss. I could feel the love flowing from him and his gentle touch. I didn't want to ever let it go.
"I love you too," he replied with a smile as he broke our kiss. I wasn't sure if it was the heat of the hot spring, but I could see his cheeks burning a bright pink as he stared back down at me. He gently tucked my hair behind my ear and continued to make me blush the rest of the night.

The next morning I woke up to the rays of the sun shining through the window and gently warming my skin. The softness of the cotton sheets and my nude body pressed against Muichiro's was so blissful I didn't want to move.
I lay there with him holding me close, still sound asleep for a while until he finally woke up and began to give me soft kisses along my shoulder.
"Good morning, my fiance," he said in his sexy morning voice. My heart fluttered at his words and I turned to meet his gaze. He looked so at peace but was barely able to open his eyes. Everything was so perfect.
Once we finally got out of bed, I went outside to the front porch to watch the sun slowly rise. Everything felt so nice here, but something was still nagging me. Like a deep ache inside my body I tried so hard to suppress but it was still clawing its way to the surface.
Muichiro noticed as he put his hand on my shoulder, pulling me out of my thoughts as I looked back at him curiously.
"Are you thinking about your family too?" He asked me seriously. He could read me so well. He seemed to understand though as he sighed.
"I can't forget either. But, I think our families would have wanted us to live long, happy lives for them, right?" He asked me, unsure of himself. I brought my hand to his and softly interlaced our fingers. I didn't speak for a moment but instead just squeezed his hand, reassuring him.
"I think, you are right. They are gone, and we will make sure they live long in our hearts," I said as I put my hand on his fast-beating heart. He held my hand over it and looked almost a bit teary.
We both have gone through so much pain. We were just children faced with the fact our entire families were slaughtered by demons, yet, through all the pain, we found each other at the end of it. We will make sure no one goes through it again, but still, for our lives, maybe we should live happily so our families can smile down at us from above.
"Yeah... We will make sure their memory isn't soiled by their deaths. Soon, I believe we will eradicate all demons as well, don't you?" He asked suddenly looking at me seriously.
The breeze was the only thing I could hear as I noticed how gently his hair swayed. The sweetness of his words mixed with the venomous resolve matched my own entirely. I truly believed us to be kindred spirits as I gave his hand a reassuring squeeze.
"Yes, I think so as well," I finally spoke as our lips met again in a sweet kiss.
The sun had risen over the horizon now and we could see our beautiful home mountain again. Everything seemed so surreal here, but it made me happy to have peace with Muichiro.
"Hey, Muichiro," I started softly.
"Hmm?" He asked me with a deadpan expression.
"Let's move here when we retire," I stated boldly. He seemed surprised. Technically, we shouldn't make future plans. We are hashira, we can die any day, but I wanted to imagine we could live long lives together, and maybe have a family too one day.
He looked over the horizon, at the beauty of the mountain. It was so calm, so peaceful. Maybe this is why his family settled here long ago despite being powerful demon slayers. The serenity was unmatched.
"Yeah, let's do that," He smiled in agreeance before pulling me into another deep kiss.

The rest of the vacation flew by in the blink of an eye. We spent our days together, exploring, cooking, and of course enjoying each other's bodies to the fullest potential. It was amazing, but it was over too soon as it was time for us to head back so we could make it in time for the hashira meeting.
Once again, Muichiro ordered a private ride for us to go back at least part of the distance. As we finished packing our things into the carriage, I looked back to the beautiful log cabin that held so many positive memories in such a short span of time and smiled.
"We will be back, right?" I asked him. Not just to this cabin, but to this place. Maybe not our original homes, but we would build a new one in honor of our family and heritage.
He smiled at me before nodding in agreeance as he loaded the last bag into the carriage. He seemed almost disappointed but quickly regained his composure. I envied his ability to do that so easily.
Soon enough, we made it down the mountain and close to our estate. We unloaded our bags and started to make way for the hashira meeting that would be held in just two hours. We handed off our bags apologetically to the maids who just smiled and said it was no trouble before making our way to the Master's Estate, but not before giving Yuichiro kitty a few pets.
Finally, after an exhausting morning, we arrived right on time and were greeted by the other hashira. Of course, we were nearly tackled by Mitsuri in one of her iconic hugs.
"So, this is the new mist pillar? I have never heard of two pillars at the same time!" The white hair boy I knew as Sanemi yelled out. I saw Muichiro's anger start to bubble at his provocation towards me, but I halted Muichiro and smiled.
"And I never heard of a hashira being headbutted by a new demon slayer practically fresh out of the selection, but I guess us Hashira are always full of surprises, right?" I said with a smile as I clapped my hands together in an overly cherry tone and stepped into Sanemi's personal space.
