Chapter 14: A Marriage Meeting

The day after the dungeon quest, Y/N was sitting and leaning against a wall in his room, staring at the necklace in his hand. It was swinging from side to side slightly, and the light from the sun made it glisten when it hit it.

Y/N: "... What do I do?"

Ever since Y/N woke up this morning, he had been asking himself that. He set it down on the floor and took the note from his pocket, and read through it again.

Y/N: "Give it to someone you love or care for..."

Blushing, Y/N put the note back in his pocket, took the necklace and stood up.

Y/N: "Okay... I think I need some advice. Do I? God dammit, I hate being so indecisive."

So, he began reconsidering if he needed advice or not. Then, when his mind wandered away from that, he realized he was pretty cold. He looked around for his hoodie, but it wasn't there.

Y/N: "Where the hell is my hoodie? Wait, last time it went missing was when Aqua tried to-"

Realization hit, and he rushed to the living room, where Aqua was in front of the fireplace. Megumin was sitting on the floor with Chicken Vienna Sausage on a crate next to her. Kazuma arrived soon, with similar suspicions, and the two bros walked behind her. She was about to burn their clothes.

Y&K: "The hell are you doing?!"

Both of them hit Aqua in the back of her head, leaving a bump on her head. The two took their own clothes away from her quickly.

Kazuma: "We've told you, don't try to burn our mementos!"

Y/N: "I am so close to slapping the crap out of you!"

Aqua: "But what else would I use?! I want to be warm! You guys really don't know how to treat a goddess like me! It's about time you start spoiling me, praising me, and worshiping me!"

Y/N: "Does it not know how to behave like a normal human?!"

Kazuma: "I don't think so!"

Aqua: "Did you just call me it?!"

Y/N: "Yes, Blue Thing! You cannot be human with the way you act!"

Blue Thing: "How dare you?!"

Megumin: sigh "Chomusuke, come here."

Chicken Vienna Sausage, also known as Chomusuke, jumped on Megumin's lap while the three argued. Well, it was mostly Y/N and Aqua, Kazuma making small insults every now and then. Soon, something dangling from Y/N's pocket got his attention and he looked at it. It was the chain of the necklace and a bit of paper. The paper fell when Aqua grabbed onto Y/N, and Kazuma picked it out of curiosity.

Kazuma: "Please give it to... Oh."

With a knowing smirk on his face, Kazuma chuckled to himself. This caused Y/N to turn to him, and his eyes opened fully when he saw Kazuma with the note. He snatched it quickly from him and stuffed it in his pocket.

Y/N: "..."

Kazuma: "What was that?"

Y/N: "What was what?"

Kazuma: "The note-"

Y/N: "No note. I don't know what you're talking about."

Aqua: "Hmm? Is Y/N hiding something? Ooh, what's the big secret? You got a secret lover or something?"

Megumin: "Wait, what? Lover?"

Ah, Aqua saying something stupid that causes a misunderstanding is such a classic. Megumin stood up and walked next to Y/N, holding their cat, a slightly mad expression on her face.
