Chapter 6: A Disappointment of a Fight

Beldia: "Why haven't you come to the castle?! I sentenced your party member to death, and none of you came?! And even he didn't come like he said he would! What is wrong with you all?!"

A Demon King's general was absolutely furious with Y/N not going to his castle like he said. Which made him even more mad was the apparent disregard for his life by his party members, as they didn't do anything to help him either, at least to Beldia's eyes.

Beldia: "Did he get scared after I left?! What happened to his confidence?! I was actually looking forward to a fight between him and I!"

Kazuma: "Wow, he's mad. Y/N, shouldn't you say something?"

Y/N: "I... guess?"

Beldia was still going on a rant as Y/N walked closer to him, stopping a bit before the dullahan.

Beldia: "And- Wait, how are you alive?!"

Y/N: "Uh... Willpower?"

Beldia: "Don't joke with me! Answer me, how are you alive?! It's been a week since I sentenced you to death!"

Y/N: "Yeah, uh, turns out, my party member who's usually useless is good with stuff related to curses and healing."

Beldia: "Are you telling me some newbie adventurer in a newbie town lifted my death sentence curse?!"

Y/N: "Yeah. Funny, right?"

Beldia: "NO!"

Beldia raised his sword and aimed it at Y/N, full of rage. Y/N noticed that the rest of his party was a bit behind him, almost supporting him.

Beldia: "Listen! It would've been fine if you merely chose not come to stay in town to enjoy the rest of your days. I wouldn't have come here if you did."

Kazuma: "Then why are you here?"

Beldia: "Because the insane crimson demon girl keeps bombing my castle! Not only at day now, but also in the middle of the night!"

Y&K: "... What."

Their necks cracked as they turned to look at Megumin, who was looking away and whistling.

Y/N: "Megumin."

Megumin: "... Y-Y/N."

Y/N: "What the hell?! You kept going there?!"

Megumin: "I-I'm sorry! I'm sorry, okay?! I can e-explain, so stop shaking me!"

Enraged at his best friend's acts, Y/N had grabbed Megumin by her shoulders and shaken her back and forth. Megumin was now blushing while holding her hands down in front of her, looking down.

Y/N: "Explain, then."

Megumin: "W-Well, up until now, unleashing explosion at fields and empty plains and the like was enough for me, but ever since we first blew up the castle, well... I crave something big and hard or I just won't be satisfied."

Y/N: "Don't say it like that while holding your cheek and blushing! It looks and sounds so wrong!"

Kazuma: "Wait, you must've taken someone with you. Who'd you take?"

Megumin looked past Y/N and Kazuma right at Aqua, who looked away and tried to whistle. She failed.

Kazuma: "You?!"

Aqua: "Ow! Ow! Ow!"

Kazuma pinched Aqua's cheeks, resulting in her crying again.

Aqua: "It's his fault! I can't get any decent quests because he wanted to live in a castle! So I decided to help drive him out!"
