Newt POV
I had seen her right before I went down. I was sure she had followed me, but now here I was and she was nowhere to be seen. So many questions ran through my head and none of them were good.
'is she okay?'
'is she hurt?'
'where did she go?'
'did I lose her for good now?'
All these questions were running through my head but I didn't want to think this way. She was tough, she would make it back, she always did. I just had to keep running. I had to keep going for her.
