"I hope not. I will continue with my essay on Saturday." I should tell Laito tomorrow that I need a few books for my essay. I wonder what will happen starting tomorrow, after all, they might all come to me. It's impossible to let them all drink. I could try to let two of them but how and who. She tried her tea, which had a better temperature.
"What's on your mind?" He eyed her and would almost smile. It needed a little more time but the girl drank it without trouble.
"Am I that easy to read? I was thinking how things will change starting tomorrow. You will bite me tonight but tomorrow it could be anyone." She made eye contact before looking down to inspect her nails. I need to cut it before it gets too long.
"I see. Up until tonight you only have one of us bite you." He understood. "I'm sure you will figure something out." The fact that she never forsake her health or searched them was something he appreciated. His eyes wander off to the clock.
"Thank you for the tea, Reiji. Why not bite me? After it, I can continue with my essay. I prefer to finish it as soon as possible." She got up from the chair. Comfortable chair. Can I get one too? Hmm, probably not. I'm sure I can't change much about my room. She took her teacup to the bathroom to wash it. "I can't teleport downstairs so this is the best I can do." I know he likes things to be clean.
He followed her and realized she cleaned the teacup. "I'll take it from here." Understanding her best attempt to clean it, he took the cup from her. Again his eyes go to the clock and held the door open for her. "You promised me something, Chisana." Cornering her against the wall, he tilted her head.
She allowed him corner her against the wall. I hardly struggle against them while they are hunters in a way. It's also the reason why I haven't seen their darker side. "Go ahead. A promise is a promise."
With her head tilted, he had easy access and brought his head down to bite her. Her scent drove him crazy and wondered why he waited so long upon tasting her quality blood. He stopped drinking and guided her back to the chair. "Sorry if I drank too much. Are you light-headed?"
"No, I'm not light-headed but... how you drank my blood. I imagine it could feel like getting a hickey. The feeling is not bad." Wait? Why did I say that? Sure, it only hurts when they break the skin but when they get my blood... There is a difference. She answered him.
He knew it must be the serum. "Chisana," he started, "what is your father's name?"
"Masaki Kuroiwa, I thought you had homework to do. I understand your homework comes first because you are in your final year. My father can wait." She followed him as he sat down with a notebook and a pen.
He wrote it down. "I still need more details to find anything on your father and you can give me some answers. You told me he was forty-four when he died. When was his birthday?"
"April the twenty-sixth," she answered without hesitation.
"And what about your mother? You lived with your stepmother." He continued.
She nodded slow with her head. "You want the full picture. Etsuko Kuroiwa, she was a couple of years younger. Her birthday was on November the thirteenth."
"What is a couple of years younger? Two years or three years." He lifted his head after writing it down. "And what happened to her?"
What is this? She felt a light headache coming up. "Two years younger." What did happen to my mother? "I have no idea. My father told me she needed help, and she disappeared." She told him without thinking or a moment of hesitation. "I asked him a few times, but he avoided my questions. Three years later, he remarried Yoshi Tsunoda, who had Seiko from a different marriage and my age."
