"I don't have time for this. See yourself out, because I need to go to school." Chisana wouldn't let him finish and left the kitchen with Yui. "I have no idea why he's doing this, Yui."
"He wants you in his life." Yui understood that much.
"Not like this, he won't." Chisana stopped at the bathroom door. "Right now, he's pushing me away, and he can only blame himself for that. He's not the father I grew up with. I'll see you in a bit." She went inside.

Just what is going on with him? Yes, I would love to have my father back in my life but this man is not my father. Biologically, maybe, but in behavior he's not. Not knowing what to do about her father, Chisana stared at the board, which had the words study period written on it. It's like the demon world changed him, or the human world has but how has that changed him and who is my father for real? She leaned her head into the palm of her hand and with her elbow on the desk. And what happened to my notebook? It wasn't in my bag. Turning her head a little, she saw Laito with his head on his arm on his desk. "Have you seen my notebook, Laito?"
"No, after your father found it, you hid it somewhere." Laito didn't open his eyes. "Aren't we done yet? This is a free study period when there's nothing to do. No homework whatsoever. A little longer, and I might fall asleep."
Let's see about that. "I'd let you sleep if you tell me where my notebook is." She tried but a smile crept on his face.
"Nice try, but I don't have it. And I'll sleep if I want to." He opened his eyes. "After all, your father is draining my energy as well. What does it take before you lecture him?"
She raised her arms as if to surrender. "If I knew that I would have done so already."
"I guess you are right, " he said, letting out some air. Sometimes, I miss the little basic things. I can't sigh as you can. I make it look like I am, but it's not real."
She turned her frown upside down. "Are you kidding me? There are more pros than cons to being a vampire. Do you have any idea how many times I have to go to the bathroom sometimes?"
"Perhaps not that part but how about your warmth? I'm always cold, sure I can dress to it but I never can have real contact or someone could find out. Having to keep a secret while walking among humans isn't always a good thing either." He moved up a little and supported his head with his hand. "You are warm in a good way that I wish I could cuddle up with you. But the moment I do such a thing, someone would pull me away for thinking I want more than a cuddle."
He did share the bed with Aiko. "Right, when did you lose... you know." She was aware that others could be listening in on them. Yuma, Ruki, Ayato, and Kanato are relatively close to hearing something.
"When I was a teenager the first time... or when I turned eighteen. I'm not giving you any other details, Chisa-chan." He kept his eyes on her to see her reaction.
So three hundred years ago? Does he consider it a hobby or something? I have more respect for Kanato then. "Quite some time ago." She rubbed her eyes.
Something Laito saw her do more often. "Maybe you should have your eyes checked. You rub your eyes enough, and I think I saw you squint your eyes at the board a few times."
"I'm just tired."
"Yeah, of your father, no, you might need glasses instead." He told her and heard the bell. "Maybe it's a good thing it's almost vacation. Tell Reiji, he'll know an optician for you. Better safe than sorry."

Reaching the cafeteria, Chisana noticed a few girls around the table. Are they trying to get close now? It's almost vacation... The perfect time for dates, apparently. He won't do it. It did annoy her to see him swarmed with girls. Turning her head, she saw Shu holding up a cup.
