Night Twenty-Five

Chisana took her place at the table and got her breakfast served. "I can't thank you enough, Reiji." You're doing so much for me. 

"Enjoy, Chisana." Reiji assured her with a smile as he joined her with a cup of tea. 

"Do you think Subaru is out of bed?" Chisana heard Kanato laugh and turned her head. 

Kanato stole something from her breakfast. "That shows that you never come to our rooms. Subaru sleeps in a coffin. However, I'm sure he's out. This is the time for us to get up." 

"How cliché." Chisana smiled while seeing Laito coming back with Yui. 

"Sit down and eat your breakfast. Kanato will bite you next." Laito nearly put the girl on a seat and winked at Kanato. "I'll bite you last." 

Yui sighed. "I'm not hungry." 

"This is not up for debate. Eat your breakfast, or I will shove it in your mouth. Or are you doing it on purpose to get sick or have anemia!" Kanato couldn't stand the girl's attitude. 

"Kanato-kun, calm down." Laito stopped his brother. "You are always out of bed at five and have breakfast after a shower. What's so different this time?" 

Reiji put a cranberry juice box extra in front of Yui. "Don't try my patience and eat up." He sent the girl a sharp gaze, making her flinch. "We're all going to the party so no exceptions. Whether you are sick, anemia, or faking it, you will come with us. Why can't you take better care of yourself? The quality of your blood will decrease because of it." 

Yui felt being compared with Chisana. Just because he didn't say her name doesn't mean she should learn from her. She eyed the girl close to Reiji. A princess who can't do anything wrong. Knowing that Kanato and Laito will bite her, she started on her breakfast. 

Keeping an eye on the time, Chisana knows there was still some left. 

"Take it with you for later." Laito had enough of the blonde's tactics to avoid eating and looked at Kanato. "Let's go, Kanato-kun, you can bite her upstairs. Stop stealing from Chisa-chan's breakfast, I'm sure Reiji can make you something to eat but after she's asleep." 

Reiji saw it and caught Kanato's hand. "She needs it more than you." 

Laito took his brother and Yui back to her bedroom. "It's better to drink from her than eating real food, Kanato-kun. We have a full moon during the party." 

Chisana waited to be alone. "Reiji," she started with a tremble in her voice and turned to him. "Please don't lose me tonight." She heard her voice dail down to a whisper. 

"I won't but what makes you say that." He noticed it sounded more like begging. "It's just a party, Chisana. You'll be fine..." 

She disagreed. "Just how much influence will the full moon have?" 

"I won't leave you out of my sight, Chisana, I promise you that." He saw the worried look in her eyes and pulled her in his arms. "I won't let anyone harm you." His voice soft and confident. "Come on, you feel good enough to have Subaru bite you?" 

"Yes, I will go to the bathroom one more time. My alarm is set on seven o'clock." She's teleported to her room. 

Subaru came in simultaneously. "Don't worry, I know that he knows your schedule.' He meant his brother while pointing at the bathroom. "Go." 

She came back after a few minutes. I hope it's enough. A party on a night of the full moon and with many vampires attending. 

"Get some rest, Chisana." Subaru bite the nape of her neck.
