Night Thirty-Two

"Balcony maybe. She was not in the garden." Subaru looked at the door once more and walked away. "Make sure that the girl attends family dinner." 

"There is still time." Laito searched for the girl and found her in the game room with Ayato. "Oh, are you that lonely that you would look for Ayato-kun's company? You should know better than to seek us out." Knowing his brother wouldn't stop him, he pinned the blonde against the wall and bit her neck. 

Ayato grabbed a pool cue and lined up the balls. 

"Laito-kun... it's too much..." Yui struggled but black dots danced before her eyes. 

"Oi, Laito, don't take so much. I ain't waking her up for dinner." Ayato wanted to move his brother away when Laito stopped. 

Only to grab her by her neck and started choking the girl. "Struggling to breath? Trouble breathing at all." Laito squeezed harder. "Is your life flashing before your eyes." 

"Laito... -kun..." Her voice was high-pitched. 

Ayato laughed but put his hand on the shoulder. "Can you stop now?" 

"Are you scared, Little Bitch? Because I have your life in my hand and it's easy to end it. Kanato-kun would have another doll. Do you know he starts by draining you from your blood first? Then he strips you from your clothes to clean your body before dressing you up again." 

Squealing, Yui looked at him with fright in her eyes and tears started to burn. Running out of air fast, she scratched his arms in the hope to breathe again. 

"Cut it out! She hurts my ears." Ayato covered his ears. 

Laito took in every detail of her contorted face. "This is how Chisa-chan felt when she drowned because of you. If it wasn't for Reiji, she would be dead. Now you know what it feels like to almost die." He let her go and had her on her knees. "We've killed women before so you wouldn't be the first but not the last either." 

"I see," Ayato started to smile. "You just wanted to teach her a lesson." After all, the girl was on the ground on hands and knees and trying to catch her breath while coughing. 

Laughing, Laito picked her from the floor. "You have done plenty to Chisa-chan, but you think that apologizing once is enough to make up for all of that. I don't think so." 

Ayato glanced at the clock. "There isn't much time anymore." He stopped his brother, allowing Yui to leave the room.

Waiting for her food to be served, Chisana kept her eyes down. 

"I'm sorry, Reiji-san, but I have to go to the bathroom. I won't be long." Yui realized she was the last one to arrive at the table. "I promise this won't take long." She ran out the dining room to the nearest bathroom. 

"Is that your fault, Laito." Reiji heard how his brother treated the girl earlier. 

"How on earth could I have any influence on her bladder? She should have gone before coming inside." Laito disliked the accusation while having his head in the palm of his hand. 

A loud noise came from a different room, making each of them turn their head. 

"What was that?" Kanato eyed his food and back to whatever it was that made so much noise. "Damn it, heads are gonna roll if my food gets cold." 

Reiji wanted to know what was going on and stood up. 

Chisana came in as last but got pushed out. "Laito, what is it?"
