Epilogue

Coming home from work, Chisana took out the hairclip, revealing her shoulder-length hair. Something she catches in the mirror in the hall. She smiled at some small changes in the mansion. 

"Oh, come on, Pancake, you look fine... Laito, what the... No, no, no, you don't get to bite..."

Chisana rushed upstairs. "Is this what I come home to?" She saw her friend cornered by the two men. The lovely dress looked great on her. "Nice, Yui, are you going somewhere?"

"Yeah, I'm taking her somewhere." Ayato pushed Laito away.

"No need to be so rough, Ayato-kun." Laito got back up. "Do I have to remind you that neither of you made your choice? She didn't choose you, and you haven't chosen her, so give me a break. I'm thirsty, and I will bite her." 

Chisana pulled Yui away. "What are your plans for tonight, Yui? I know you don't dress like this when you stay home."

"You are right. Ayato-kun mentioned he wanted to take me out." Yui smiled.

"You look amazing." Chisana hugged her. "How about a quick solution to this first? Let Laito bite you and then leave with Ayato." What the hell is he waiting for? And this would be their first date. "Laito is right about one thing, Ayato, unless you wanted to make it official. In that case, you should have talked to Laito in private about it so you could take Yui out. Then he knows to back off."

Ayato crossed his arms. "Reiji never did with us. He kept you all to himself. I believe he's waiting for you."

"Reiji had a different approach to it. But I'm merely talking about tonight. If you want to take her somewhere and make it official, then talk to Laito alone. Is it just a date between friends then Laito should be able to bite her." Chisana looked at her friend. "Can you make a choice?"

"I think so."

Hmm, not so confident. "Either you can or can't, Yui, there is no in-between with them. I learned the hard way." Chisana hoped her friend would choose someone soon. "Ayato, are you claiming her?"

"From the day she came inside the mansion."

Laito shook his head. "That's just you getting possessive, and there is a difference."

"Darling?" Chisana has had enough.

Reiji heard her voice and understood its significance. "In the time that has passed, Laito could have bitten her, so you could take her on that date. If you want to prevent the others from biting her any longer, you should make it official; however, to do that, you need to talk to Yui about it. She hasn't made her choice, which means she is a free woman." 

Chisana leaned back and straight into a couple of arms. Thank you, darling. I had two difficult customers earlier. One man and a couple. I understand why they are called Karen types. 

"Come on, darling, I have a surprise for you." Reiji took her back to their room. "How was work tonight?"

"It started just fine. The boss left earlier and left me in charge. But around eleven, I had someone who forgot to book a room in advance while insisting he booked the presidential suite." She dropped onto the couch. "Two hours later, I had a couple coming back from their room and insisted I give them a room with one bed instead of two single beds, and complaining about their neighbor being too loud. Their mistake was that they booked a room through a comparison website, so I couldn't do much." She took her shoes off.

He laughed. "I'm sure you told him his place, even while being friendly. You became much more efficient over the last two years. Despite the annoying customers, you love your job, darling."
