Night Twenty-Four

I don't want to take the risk. "I'll still whisper. I want to do something back for all of you because you have been patient and kind with me while a lot has happened. I can make raspberry pudding for Kanato. Unintentionally, some have been keeping a distance, and I understand why. I'm getting to know you all better and better.' She smiled when he stopped for a moment. 

"Sunday, Chisana." He got to know her more on the nights playing chess together. "Also because I don't have all the ingredients to make it." 

"Of course." She gets up when the floor is clean. What a night.

Knowing what happened the previous night, Chisana wanted to check the chessboard in the game room but nothing changed. Is that because Yui is in the dungeon? She saw Laito appear. 

"Ah, great minds think alike, Chisa-chan." Laito smiled, eyeing the board. "Nothing changed this time. That makes me think it was Little Bitch because she did spend a day in the dungeon." 

She made her move. "Please, I don't want to start my night like this, and no assumptions either. She's a suspect at most but without solid proof, I won't point my finger at her. That would make me almost as bad as the things she did to me. If she did then she should face the consequences when she's caught red-handed." She went to him after making a move. "Would you mind, Laito?" 

"Yeah, no problem." Laito teleported her to the kitchen. "I'll see you by the front door." 

Chisana took a seat while breakfast was served. "Thank you, Reiji, looks delicious as always." 

Smiling, Reiji joined her with tea. "I like how you enjoy it." He sipped his tea. "I forgot last night but who do you think would keep his distance unintentionally?" 

"I talk to you the most, and I like our conversations. It makes me feel welcome and that I get to know you so thank you for opening up to me. Even if it's just a little. Then comes Laito, he is in my homeroom, after all. Sometimes Ayato, and Kanato after that since he's mostly with his doll collection or in his room. Subaru and Shu are the last ones, and that's because they like to go outside as well. I do see Subaru in the garden sometimes but it's like Shu is playing hide and seek." She enjoyed every bite of her breakfast. "I don't go actively seeking you out. It's a little different with you because we play chess, but I leave you alone if you are busy with something." She finished her tea when the door opened. Seeing Yui reminded her of last night, and she got up. "I'll see if I can change his mood because there are two people I don't want in the car angry." She made sure her voice was quiet enough for him to hear. 

"Of course." Reiji understood and nodded. "I do appreciate it when you only come to make a move on the board and leave." 

Chisana came back with some candy in her pocket while putting some snacks in her bag. "I know you are studying for your exams. I'll wait by the door."

Reiji teleported to the entrance hall with Yui, which he did to make sure they leave on time. Where he found Kanato drinking from Chisana. "That's enough, Kanato." 

Kanato turned around after making sure the wounds are healed. "Not even a minute, Reiji." He whined, squeezing Teddy in his arms. 

"It's a school night." Reiji refuse to listen and went to the waiting car outside. 

Chisana found herself sitting between Reiji and Shu. "If I may, are Yui and I the only humans at the party tomorrow?" If yes, then they might be thirstier than usual because of the full moon. It's not going to help us if they too want to bite along with the others.
