Kanato nodded. "Either way, you'll make me something sweet..."
"Together, I want to get to know you. I know your brothers." She added.
"True, you spend more time with Reiji, Laito, and Yui. Ayato not so much because he's usually bugging Yui if she isn't with you." He thought about it. "Being in the garden more often, you see Subaru and Shu."
She knew that. "I think one of the reasons we don't spend time together is because I stay away from your bedrooms. The other place with your dolls isn't exactly a healthy and warm place for me to be." She saw his face. "Sure, your dolls are a little creepy to me but that's not the main reason for me to stay away."
"It isn't?" Kanato liked to have the girl's attention all for himself. He kept it quiet that Reiji was close by and possibly ready to intervene if he got angry at Chisana.
"No, it needs to be a cool place for your dolls, or not?" She picked up on something and knew someone was close, but at the same time, not near enough to know who it was. Is someone eavesdropping?
He knew she knew and turned his head. "Reiji is close. In the next classroom, which is empty due to the lunch break. He doesn't trust you with me alone."
Reiji? "You would know that better than me. But we're just talking." She shifted her attention back to the man before her. "Let's pick Monday to bake and cook something for the both of us. Can it be something easy, like muffins or something else? It's vacation then, and we'll have plenty of time since Reiji only does the groceries on Saturday. We'll think of what we need for the groceries for Monday."
Nodding, Kanato was looking forward to it. "I don't mind muffins. That can be made with raspberries, strawberries, or other ingredients..." He held up a finger for her to be quiet. "If you are listening to us, you might as well make a list of ingredients for those muffins."
"Don't forget the pudding, it's a backup plan if the muffins somehow do fail. I hope not," she adds with a smile.
Reiji showed himself in the doorway. "I won't forget, Kanato."
"So you don't trust me alone with her?" Kanato looked at him.
"You have proven enough times that you have mood swings, and I wouldn't want her to get hurt because of that," said Reiji. "But the break is almost over, and Chisana always goes..."
"That time already." She got up and left quickly.
"Ladies' room, don't forget she's half human, Kanato." Reiji turned away. "You need to go back to class as well."

Chisana liked to see her planner empty for the last days when her eyes landed on the day. I can't believe it's Wednesday. Nine weeks am I with them. Nine weeks ago, I became homeless and I would be if it wasn't for them. So much has happened. The car stopped, and she knew she was back home. I guess I am seeing this place as a home and it's because of everything that happened. I got to know them fast, and some more than others. Following them inside, she recognized someone waiting on the stairs.
"We need to talk, Chisana." Masaki got up and went closer. "I had some open houses last night and a few this night. I'll have a house soon, and you are coming with me."
"When is it getting in your head that we have an agreement with Chisana," started Reiji while pulling the woman behind him.
Masaki didn't understand and wasn't intending to understand any of it. "I am her father..."
"Funny way of showing, old man. Chiwa stays with us, and what makes you think you are an example anyway?" Ayato had enough of seeing his face.
"Ayato." Reiji stopped his brother. "I told you to get out of the house..."
