People near people, gathering away
They open their eyes but no attention they pay
They open their chests while their hearts locked away
So when you unlock your brain to them, they have a place to stay
You don't get to their heart if they don't think of you each day
You instead are just there throwing energy away
For a resulting failure in a relationship one day
Because you took it too truly, all feelings on the tray
And they took the tray back and used your feelings to play
They seem happier now
