What if I were beautiful?
Would I see through the same eyes?
Would I be the same person?
Would I still wear my disguise?
Would I be different-
Or would i feel accepted in a way I haven't before?
Would I be confident?
Would I feel more pride as I walked in the door?
What if I were beautiful?
I'm not sure what beauty is.
Because their definition is different than his.
And she thinks she's ugly because somebody says so
But to me she is beautiful, She just doesn't know.
What if I were beautiful?
I know it's bad to dwell
And sometimes it feels like I'm trapped in a cell
A place of anger and obsession
That is full of jealousy.
You might as well just lock me up and leave me be.
We are all caged into some things
When we can't find the key
We result to believing we're wrong
And always fail to see
You don't belong in a box with others
You belong somewhere that you're free
What if I were beautiful?
Then you'd be who you are now.
Progressing each day, following your sense, spending the day learning more and more. I don't believe beauty is a feature- its the concept of change over time. Changing for the better, and understanding new things, dear we are all beautiful; that's what your difference brings.
