Hoseok POVI was helping mom sew the dress. Right now I was cutting the fabric into shape. She was going through the catalogue to look at the dress design again. I smiled when my small sister, jiwoo sat beside me helping me.
She has always been curious of everything. She'd ask so many questions and fed up me and mom with them. She have her own interest though. She likes dancing but get quite shy when someone sees her doing that.
She'd lock her room, play a song and dance to it. One day I caught her dancing and she was so embarrassed that she cried for two days and didn't even talked to me. I hope she gain confidence in the future.
"Hoseok, how's school going ?" Mom asked taking off her specs.
"It's fine mom." I said awkwardly because there's nothing to talk about.
"I mean, what are you thinking of doing after graduation ?" She asked annoyed.
"I'm thinking..and i have decided that I'm..going to be fashion designer just like you mom but I want to be more famous and successful. I want our made clothes to be all around internet." I said hesitatingly.
She might not like my dreams. She wants me to be a lawyer.
"And how are you supposed to do that ?" She turned to me raising an eyebrow.
I gulped and thought about that. My mind was filled with so many ideas that it was hard to bring them to words. "I'm going to make a website and contact merchandise. I'd make my products and advertise them. I can advertise them in Facebook, YouTube and i already have almost a million followers on Pinterest so that'd be a good place. I don't even need anything much but just a computer and some money to start this. It's a lot but i can imagine it..mom." I said.
Maybe i said too much because she looked surprised.
"That- That's a plan." She nodded opening her arms wide.
I smiled and hugged her. "You don't think that's ridiculous ?" I asked.
"Of course not. That's a smart plan. I'm proud of you hoseok. I hope you'll achieve everything you want." She caressed my back.
"B-but what about me then ?" Jiwoo pouted standing infront of us asking for a hug.
"Come here, my loves." Mom pulled her in a hug too.
She embraced us for a while then pulled away, kissing us both on the forhead. "You both are going to do great things." She smiled.
Knock knock.
"It must be jimin." I said and got up. I went down the stairs and opened the door.
To my astonishment, there stood Yumi, clutching a bag in her hand. She appeared a bundle of nerves, with an air of embarrassment and shame evident on her face. Just as she was about to speak, she hesitated and stopped herself.
A massive headache pierced my skull as soon as I laid eyes on her. This was not the timing I had hoped for—I wasn't in the mood for this encounter.
"Um... H-hey, I guess?" she stammered, visibly shaking.
"Hey, come inside, please." I awkwardly gestured, making space for her to enter.
With cautious steps, she ventured inside and delicately removed her shoes. Elegantly arranging them on the shoe rack, she rubbed her feet on the welcome mat before stepping further into the house.
An awkward silence filled the space between us.
"Y-you have a nice house." she murmured, scanning the room cluttered with dirt and scattered paper toys that Jiwoo had left behind.
