Jungkook POVI parked outside the university and walked inside. My eyes were drooping because I hadn't taken a second to sleep last night. There was too much pressure on me. Upon entering the university, I wanted to excel here as well, but the competition was intense.
It would be hard to excel like I did before with the high pressure to succeed here, but I would try my best.
I just wanted to make my parents proud!
As I dragged myself inside, I spotted Namjoon standing by the university board with a girl. I jogged over, catching Namjoon’s attention as he turned to me with a grin. We bumped fists like bros do, but the girl next to him folded her arms and looked at us like we were two stray dogs she had the misfortune of stepping in.
Namjoon noticed and quickly said, "Jungkook, this is Jia, my younger sister." He patted her head, which she slapped away like it was a mosquito.
She was pretty, no doubt about it. Her hair was so long it could double as a weapon, cascading down to her thighs. Her face was small and delicate, with big eyes and full lips. She was rocking a simple sweater and jeans, yet still managed to look effortlessly stunning.
"Nice to meet you. I’m—"
"Jungkook. I know. You’re not as ugly as he told me." she cut in, causing me to whip my head toward Namjoon.
"You said I’m ugly?" I asked, narrowing my eyes at him.
"NO! She’s joking!" Namjoon laughed nervously.
I rolled my eyes. "Okay, whatever. I’m already late. See you in class." I turned to leave.
"Wait—Jia’s new here. Can you show her to class? I’m busy checking the list of students who passed the eligibility test for the free study abroad program." Namjoon said, with that familiar I'm-dumping-responsibilities-on-you tone.
"Oh, is that out already?" I asked, suddenly more interested.
"Yeah," he nodded, stepping closer to whisper in my ear, "Just keep her busy and, I don't know, lose her in the library or something."
"What are you two plotting?" Jia asked suspiciously, narrowing her eyes at us.
"Nothing," Namjoon said, plastering on an innocent smile. "You go with Jungkook. He’ll help you around."
And with that, he pushed her towards me like she was a sack of potatoes.
As we walked, I tried making small talk. "So, what made you choose this university?"
"Hot boys." she said without missing a beat.
"What?" I nearly tripped over my own feet.
"You heard me," she teased. "I said HAWT BOYS. The hottest and richest guys study here, so I picked this place. I’ve been single for way too long, and I’m not leaving this university without a boyfriend."
I couldn’t help but laugh. "That’s an interesting reason. So, Noona, what’s your type?"
"O negative. Why?" she said, looking genuinely confused.
"No, no. I meant your type in men."
"Oh," she said, thinking it over. "I like someone who threatens me. You know, someone totally different from me. Someone who just can’t be trusted."
My eyes widened in horror. Is she serious?
"Someone rough in bed. Someone who’d make me pass out—"
I choked on my own spit. "Stop, stop! That’s enough, Noona." Whoa, Namjoon’s sister is a total wild card. She’s nothing like him at all.
We reached her class, and I saw my chance to escape. "That’s your class. You can go now."
