I try to brush the imaginary wrinkles off my simple black skater mini dress. Before fidgeting with the straps tying on my shoulders. Why did I feel so nervous? Spence and I have spent every night together unless we are gone on a case. The man has seen me naked several times now.....but somehow my nerves were getting the best of me because he officially asked me on a date.

A knock on my door sounds as I turn frantically. I hurry towards the door tripping over my rug. "Shit...." I catch myself before finally making it towards the door. I swing it open my breath catching at the sight of him. He had styled his hair tonight, wore a nice button up shirt, tie, and the cardigan vest he wore the first day we met.

"Nice cardigan." I tell him, his face breaks out in a giant grin.

"You look.....beautiful." His gaze sweeps my body stopping on my shoes. "Glad to see I'm not the only one who doesn't like to wear heels." He jokes remembering one of the more embarrassing statements I've said to him. He shows off his black converse that match mine.

"Oh...yes. They are comfortable compared to heels." I wink before closing the door behind me and locking it. While I'm putting my keys into my purse one of his hands tucks under my chin tilting it up, his lips finding mine in an instant. I will never get use to this....the way his kiss leaves me spiraling in another dimension. Each kiss he gets more confident and a confident Spence is a sexy one.

The car ride was awkward thanks to me. I couldn't shut up. It was like watching a small movie playing and you're screaming at the main character to shut up but she doesn't....that's me. "I was reading an article the other day from The European Space Agency and they claim that Australia's diameter is larger than the moons.......the moon sits at 2,113 miles in diameter.....while Australia's diameter from east to west is almost 2,485 miles." I ramble on not pausing before moving on. "Speaking of Australia the fact that Scotland chose a mythical creature as their national animals is not only purely amazing but majestically badass."

My god I couldn't stop the rambling. It just kept coming out "Do you think that people who visit the Eiffel Tower in winter get jealous of the people who visit in the summer since the iron heating up causes the tower to become roughly six inches taller due to thermal expansion. You pay to visit this monument and then find out that it's 6 inches shorter right now because you're not experiencing it in summer time...."

"Sunny are you nervous?" Spence finally interrupts me.

"Yes." I admit.

"We've been on plenty of unofficial dates you weren't aware were almost dates."

"That sounds a little creepy when you say it like that, given our line of work Spencie." I bit my bottom lip.

"Were you nervous the other times?" He questions.

"Yes"

"I'm trying to reassure you that you don't need to be nervous." He pauses for a moment. "If it makes you feel any better I'm really nervous too." My heart flutters at his words. I move closer to place my hand on his thigh. He flinches. "Sunny I can't concentrate on driving when your hand is there." He admits, nervously. I pull away quickly, I didn't want him to be any more anxious about driving than he already is.
