"I walked through walls 'til my every bone felt the damage. And I knocked on doors 'til my hands grew brittle and bruised. Let every scar break my heart 'til I learned to bend it. Yeah, it hurt me in the moment. But now if I'm being honest, I'm proud of these eyes. 'Cause they've seen me through some hard shit. Proud of those nights. When I didn't think I'd make it."

                              Scarlett's POV

I didn't think this one through very well. I've just sent Jensen upstairs with his brother to get my stuff. I've been a little lost in my own world watching his ass as he walked up the steps. Sighing dreamily I turn my head and come face to face with Mackenzie laughing at me. Now, I have to spend the next however long with his sister who's looking at me like a lioness does her prey. I'm a little scared if I'm honest.

"Hi." I say hesitantly.

"Oh, don't mind me." She says still laughing.

"It's a nice view, what's a girl supposed to do? Staring seems like the only polite response."

"Seen as how he's my brother I refuse to comment on that one. But him being my brother also mean I'm used to girls ogling him." She says with a smile, one that turns a little sinister as she asks. "So, what are your intentions with my brother?"

"Honestly, I'm just here for the great sex." I say trying to keep my face straight. Luckily she's the one that breaks first and starts cracking up. Laughing so hard she nearly falls off the sofa.

"That's normally something he would come out with. I have a feeling something might be different this time. Different with you." She says once she composes herself.

"Maybe, or maybe he just thinks it's different." I say trying to be as honest as I can.

"Is it him that thinks that or you? You're not sure he's as serious as he makes out, are you?"

"You know him better than I do. How surprised were you when you found out about all this?"

"I will admit I was surprised yes, but he does appear to be someone who's pretty loved up at the moment. Having seen him with you, how he acts around you. He can barely keep his hands off you. Not in a sexual way, well probably but more in a he just needs that comfort from you. To know you're there. Seems pretty serious to me." She says and it makes me feel a little bit special.

"Oh, I'm not saying he's not loved up. I guess I'm just waiting for the day he wakes up and realises what he's gotten himself into."

"What makes you think that?" She asks so innocently. Like she has no idea the world of hell that question opens up for me. Luckily before I have chance to answer we hear them coming back down.

"That's a conversation we will have to continue another time I'm afraid." I say as I start to pack up the tubs to take with us into travel containers. "Ok, are you sure I'm not going to offend anyone if I turn up with all this food?" I ask, still sort of freaked out by what I've done.

"Hell no. I've eaten your cooking before, it may actually be better than moms but that goes no further and I will deny having ever said that if it is mentioned again. Are these cool enough to eat now?" Jay says reaching over to grab a turnover and passing them out to the other two. "I still have no idea how you managed to do all this in the time it took for us to get here."

"I had a little bit of help." I say shyly.

"These are really good. Do we have to take any back with us or can we just eat them now?" Josh says eating the turnover in three large bites.
