Chapter 13 - You Are Mine

Next morning:

Elliot is standing at the window side. Lost in his own thoughts. He places a hand on his stomach and takes a deep breath. His eyes are filled with tears and he doesn't know what to do now. "Omg you are still here! I thought you should have gone to take a bath by now." Marco says from the back. Elliot wipes his tears and looks at him. "I have something to tell you." he says. "Not now baby, there's something waiting for you downstairs, you really need to get ready ASAP!" Marco interrupts him. "Marco this is important, please just listen to me." Elliot holds his wrist. "I'll listen to you okay? But not now. Just go and get ready. I'm coming in ten minutes." Marco leaves the room. Elliot sighs and heads towards the bathroom.

After a few minutes, Marco comes back. He smiles seeing his boyfriend wearing his favourite black suit. "You look absolutely stunning." he says. Elliot just smiles. "Now follow me." Marco takes his hand and walks towards the main hall. Elliot gets shocked seeing the beautiful decoration. He sees Lisa, David and Maya are waiting for him downstairs. "Come on let's go." Marco pats his shoulders. They climbs down the stairs and stands in the middle. He notice a beautifully decorated cake at the table.

"Happy Birthday love." Marco whispers in his ears. Elliot hugs him tightly. "I love you, I love you so much." he gets emotional. "Happy Birthday Elliot." Everyone wishes him. Elliot wipes his tears and smiles brightly. "Thank you for making this day so special for me." he says. "There's one more thing for you." Marco says. "What?" Elliot asks. Marco kneels in front of him. Maya quickly starts recording. Seeing this, Elliot's heart beats faster. He doesn't understand what's happening. Before he can react Marco holds his hand.

He looks at him and says. "El, I may be not 100% perfect in everything. I may be not so strong like you. And I know I made so many wrong decisions in the past which I still regret. (pauses.) But trust me, loving you is the only decision I will never regret." he stops. Elliot blinks his eyes and looks at him. Marco takes out the ring and takes a deep breath. "Elliot my love, WILL YOU MARRY ME?" he proposes. Everyone gasps seeing the unexpected proposal. Elliot starts sobbing he doesn't expect this to happen. "Yes, I will marry you." he finally says. Marco immediately made him wear the ring. Elliot does the same. Everyone claps and hugs them. Maya clicks their pictures.

Elliot cuts the cake and give first piece to him. "I love you." he says. "I love you the most." Marco replies and licks his Elliot's fingers. "Eww Marco!" he pushes him away. He cleans his hand in the tissue. Everyone starts laughing and pulling each other legs. Suddenly Elliot feels nauseous. His head starts spinning and his vision gets blurry. He grips Marco's shoulder. "What's wrong? Are you okay? Baby!" Marco shouts. Before he can do anything Elliot faints in his arms. "Elliot! Baby open your eyes. Oh no no no.. David get the car out quickly!!" he lifts him and rushes towards the car.

At the Hospital:

"Calm down Lisa, he is fine don't worry." David comforts Lisa. "I shouldn't have listened to him. I should have called the doctor last night." Marco murmurs. "It's okay calm down now." Maya rubs his arms. After some time the doctor comes out. "How's he? He is okay right?" Marco asks her. "Don't worry sir, he is completely fine now." she replies. "What happened to him?" Maya asks. The doctor stays silent. "We are asking you something. What happened to my brother?" Lisa shouts. "Please tell me what happened?" Marco pleads.

"He is pregnant." The doctor finally breaks the silence. "What?" Marco is shocked to hear that. Maya looks at him with strange eyes. "How is that even possible?" he asks the doctor. "Because he is intersex. Means he have both male and female organs. And in very rare cases some intersex males can get pregnant." The doctor explains. This shocks Marco. He can't believe what he's hearing. "Didn't you know?" Maya asks him. Marco exhales he looks at the doctor. "Can I meet him?" he asks. "Sure sir." she replies. Without wasting any time he enters the room.

Elliot looks at him. The guilt in his eyes are clearly visible. "I know what you are thinking. I'm sorry I'm really sorry trust me I tried to tell you as soon as I found out, Marco." he cries out. "Who did this to you?" Marco growls. Elliot gets scared of his anger. "I am asking you again, who did this to you? Did John do this?" Marco asks. "No! He didn't. Yeah he knew about my secret but it wasn't him." Elliot replies. "Then who is it?" Marco asks again.

"I don't know Marco, I don't know his name. I can barely remember his face. The day before our final result, John brought someone in the house. Lisa and Mary both went to her friend's house. I tried to call you but John snatched my phone. I..I.. I seriously can't remember his face but I still remember some things. He had a tattoo of a scorpion on his left hand and also had a gun. And he was taller than me, that's all I remember." Elliot explains. He burst out in tears.

"Hey hey.. stop crying. I'm right here." Marco immediately hugs him. "Why didn't you tell me earlier? You don't trust me?" he asks. "I was scared. I thought..." Elliot stops. "You thought I will blame you? You thought I will accuse you for cheating? Baby! It wasn't your fault. He took advantage of you. It wasn't your fault." Marco comforts him. "Are you mad at me?" Elliot asks. "No! But yes, I am definitely angry that so much happened behind my back and I did not even know!" Marco replies.

They breaks the hug and looks and at each other. "Do you still want to marry me?" Elliot asks him. "Yes! I still love you and I will still marry you." Marco replies with a smile. "And I swear to God, I will find that bastard and make him pay for what he has done! I promise you Elliot." he assures. He kisses his forehead and places a hand on his belly. "And I have no problem with this baby. It's ours now." he says. Elliot hugs him immediately. "I love you." he says. "I love you the most." Marco says back.
