Chapter 45 - Sleepless Night

Two days later :

Elliot is getting ready to go back to home after discharge. Lisa is there to help him. On the other hand the twins are sleeping in their crib peacefully. "You should be careful about the stich on your abdomen. If you feel any pain then immediately call me." the doctor says. "Sure doctor, I'll be careful." Elliot replies. "Oh you're ready, let's go then." Marco walks in. Elliot holds one of the baby in his arms and Lisa picks up the other. They steps out of the cabin and walks towards their car. Marco holds the baby so Elliot can enter in. After he enters he takes back his baby from him. Lisa enters next with the other one. Marco and David get in and the starts car.

At the mansion:

They reaches home safely. Maya and Atharv are already standing at the main gate to welcome them. As soon as they gets out of the car Maya showers the flowers on them. "Omg, that's why you left early today? You are amazing ma." Marco says. "Of course darling, they are my granddaughters, so why not? Our little angels." Maya says back. "Thank you mom, thank you for everything." Elliot gets emotional. Maya takes the baby from him and they enters in.

Everyone sits on the couch in the living room. "Look this one has brown eyes like her dad." Lisa says. "And this one has blue eyes." Maya says. Elliot smiles and kisses her tiny hand. "Yes, just like my mother." he says. "Oh that's great." Maya says. "But you know what? Both of them looks exactly like me." Marco says. "The elder one is sure looks like you but not the younger one." Lisa says back. "Whatever, but the fact is that they are daddy's girls." Marco winks. "No, definitely not." Elliot says. "Alright guys calm down and tell me, Have you thought of their names?" Maya asks. "Yes ma, we finalized the names already." Marco replies. "Then reveal the names please." Atharv shouts. Marco gets up and stands in the middle.

"So the names are, Eleanor and Siya." he announces. "Cool." Atharv claps. Marco takes one of the baby and picks her up. "Meet our blue eyed elder daughter Eleanor." he says and kisses her cheeks. She smiles looking at him. Marco puts her in the crib and picks the other one. "Now meet our younger daughter, Siya." he says. Everyone smiles and claps for them. "Eleanor and Siya, beautiful names just like them." Maya says. "Sir, do you have a minute please?" Sebastian walks in. "Yes sure." Marco handovers Siya to her aunt and walks away. "Elliot go and take some rest while they are sleeping." Maya says. Elliot nods and goes upstairs.

In the garden:

"What's up Sebastian, is there anything serious?" Marco asks. "Sir, we heard that Daniel got married to the Dubai King's daughter last night." Sebastian replies. Marco sighs. "Seriously, I feel bad for that princess. Poor girl, her life got destroyed." he says. "One more thing, Daniel bought a whole new mansion but I have no idea where it is." Sebastian informs. "Keep an eye on him. I don't trust that bastard!" Marco says.

At night, 10:30pm

The dinner is done and now everyone is in their rooms. Elliot is feeding milk to Siya and trying to put her to sleep. Marco is doing the same with Eleanor. "Both of them finished the entire milk but are not ready to sleep." Elliot says. Marco turns off the lights and roams around the room with Eleanor in his arms. Elliot pats Siya's back for burp. She burps after a few seconds and Eleanor too. "Now it's time sleep come on." Marco whispers. After an hour of humming and roaming around the room finally the babies falls asleep. They puts them in the crib and lies down on the bed. "Mom was right, this is not a easy job." Elliot whispers. Marco pulls him closer and kisses him. "Of course it's not but we can do it. I think so." he says. Elliot smiles and closes his eyes. Marco slowly slowly rubs his belly and closes his eyes.

At 12:40 am :

The babies starts crying. Marco and Elliot immediately wakes up and starts putting them on sleep again. "Babe, it's time to change their diapers." Elliot says. Marco takes out the diapers and changes their. Elliot feels so sleepy but still he is trying his best to put them on sleep again. "Oh my cuties, it's mid night already. Please take some sleep and let us sleep too." Marco says. Eleanor cutely yawns and looks at him. "What's your plan madam? Please close your eyes, you need to sleep." Marco says. He pats her back closes his eyes. Elliot successfully puts Siya on sleep again but Eleanor has no mood of sleeping. "Give her to me." Elliot takes her from him. An hour of trying and trying she finally falls asleep. He puts her in the crib and lies down again.

At 3:30 am :

Eleanor and Siya wakes up again and starts crying. "Wait, let me handle this time." Marco says. He takes the babies and puts them on their bed. Elliot is half awake. "Oh I love this phase." he says sarcastically. Marco prepares the milk and pours it on the bottles. "Now drink to your fill and go to sleep quietly." he says. He sits on the bed and feeds them. The twins slowly slowly falls asleep. Marco puts the bottles aside and lies down next to them on the bed.

At 4:50 am :

The munchkins starts crying again. Elliot wakes up with sleepy eyes and starts comforting them. Marco wakes up too and takes Siya on his lap and pats her. "It's the third time they woke up. Why no one told me that this is going to be so hard?" Elliot whispers. "Whatever it is I'm enjoying so much." Marco says. "Oh shut up please. My head is spinning so much." Elliot says back. "I can understand baby." Marco whispers. "Ouu.." Siya makes a sound. "Yeah I got you but please go to sleep now." Elliot says. An hour later they falls asleep again.

At 6:20 am :

It's already morning and they wakes up again. "Good morning love." Marco says. Elliot sighs and wakes up. "Shut up!" he says. Marco laughs and wake up. They take the babies and walks out of the room. "Morning duty is for both of you, so hold them and we are going back to sleep." Elliot and Marco handovers the babies to Maya and Lisa. "Tired already? It's just the beginning." Maya says. "Yeah whatever." Marco says back. They goes upstairs and immediately lies down on the bed.

"I love my kids but right now I need to sleep." Elliot says. "And I want you." Marco smirks. "Fuck off." Elliot pushes him away and covers himself with the blanket. Marco hugs him from the back and they finally falls asleep peacefully.

At afternoon:

Maya and Lisa are playing with the twins. Marco climbs down the stairs and lies down on the sofa. "How are you feeling bro?" Atharv asks. "I don't know." Marco replies. Elliot also climbs down and sits next to Lisa. "These two girls are very naughty just like their dad." he says. Marco looks at him and says nothing. "Okay guys hear me out. We will go to Sri Shiva Vishnu temple tomorrow to seek blessings for the newborns." Maya says. Everyone nods. "It will be your first visit to a temple, are you guys excited?" Marco talks to his daughters. "Hmm..." is the only sound comes from their mouth. "They are very smart I'm telling you." Lisa says. Eleanor and Siya falls asleep after playing. "What is this huh? Why they sleep so well in the day and keeps awake at night? I mean, whenever we tried to sleep they started crying and said jagte raho! (stay awake)." Marco says. "Every kid does this." Maya says back. Everyone silently laughs and adores the babies.
