Chapter 100 - Happy Ending

As the morning light filters through the curtains, Elliot slowly opens his eyes, blinking away the remaining of sleep. He stretches his arms above his head, feeling the slight stiffness in his muscles ease. He turns towards his right and the first thing he sees is Marco's smiling face. "Happy Anniversary love." he wishes. Elliot smiles and pulls him into a warm hug and Marco kisses his forehead. Elliot playfully rubs his nose on his shoulder. "Get up quickly, or the food will get cold. I made it, by the way." Marco says. Elliot kisses his cheeks and then goes for shower.

Marco dries his hair, with the hair dryer and Elliot sits straight like a baby. "Even after all these years, you're still the same, my love." Marco says. "You too, babe." Elliot smiles. They sit on the sofa together and Marco feeds Elliot, because he loves it. "Ouch!" he shouts. "Why did you bite me?" he asks. Elliot starts laughing looking at his poor husband. "It's a gift for you babe." he replies. "Oh really?" Marco starts kissing his neck. "No get off!!" Elliot pushes him away. They laugh at each other while eating the breakfast.

They come downstairs after an hour and sees everyone is busy doing their stuffs. "Strange, doesn't anyone remember our anniversary? Guys we literally completed 17 years of marriage!" Marco whispers. "It's okay no worries, you know we have so many people in our house and there's so much work to do. So relax babe." Elliot says. Marco sighs. They come and sits on the couch next to each other. "Mumma.." Arjun runs to them. Elliot picks him up and cuddles. "Did everyone lose their memory at the same time? Or did they get old and we're the only ones who stayed young?" Marco says. "Shut up na!" Elliot scolds him.

Marco notices that no one is giving them any attention, not even Maya. "Aahh!! Fine leave them, I have a plan." he says. "What?" Elliot asks. "We will go to our favourite beach, where we came out to each other and spend the entire day, okay?" Marco replies. "Okay as you wish." Elliot agrees. "Let's go now.." Marco takes his hand and starts walking towards his car.

At the beach :

They arrive at the beach after an hour of driving and surprisingly, the beach is empty. "Perfect, no one actually cares." Marco sighs. "But I do." Elliot hugs him from behind. Marco turns around and lifts his chin up. "Where did I find you, baby?" he asks. "We were in high school, and you entered my dull life like a hero and with that basketball, you drove away all my sorrows." Elliot replies. Marco laughs and then kisses him.

They sit together by the the seaside, holding hands. Elliot is resting his head on his shoulder and looking at the waves. "I still can't believe we've been together for so many years.... I mean, it's been 17 years since we got married, but as a couple, it's been over 20 years..." Marco says. "Yeah, we've grown old together." Elliot jokes. Marco grabs his arm. "Buddhe ho mere dushman, I'm still young." he says. Elliot starts laughing. Marco kisses him immediately.

After some hours, they goes to a nearby restaurant for lunch. Marco orders every favourite dish of Elliot's. They enjoy their meal while flirting openly. "You're looking extra handsome today." Elliot winks. "Don't you dare to tempt me, I'm not carrying any condoms right now." Marco says. "Oh My God, shut up!" Elliot blushes.

After finishing the lunch, they decide to walk on the streets normally. Suddenly, Marco's phone rings and he picks up immediately. "Bro, come to the school right now, there's something happened." Atharv says from the other side and the call cuts. "What's wrong?" Elliot asks. "God knows, let's go." Marco takes his hand and drives towards the school.

At evening:

After two hours of driving, they finally reaches the school. "I can't see anyone, hello???" Marco shouts. "Is anyone here?" Elliot starts looking around, but they find no one. "I need to check the cameras." Marco takes out his phone. Suddenly the lights turns on, and they looks ahead.

"Happy Anniversary guys!!!!" the whole family wishes together. "What the.." Marco shakes his head and Elliot smiles seeing the surprise. "I can't with you all, who's plan it was?" Marco asks. "Mine." Maya comes forward. "I swear ma, you gave me a heart attack!" Marco hugs her. "Plan toh accha tha na.." she says.

"Okay guys now come here." Eleanor and Siya take them to the center, where Elliot saw Marco for the first time, playing guitar. "How did you know?" Elliot asks. "Your love story is famous in this world guys..." Siya replies. "You both are angels for us. Just because of you I got a partner like David.." Lisa says. "Yeah thanks to you too.." David smiles. "Aur mujhe ek gadha dene ke liye thank you." Riya teases. "What the hell?? Am I look like a donkey?" Atharv yells. "Of course you are a donkey but a romantic one." Riya blushes. "Ab main itna bhi kuch khaas nahi..." Atharv smiles.

Roger comes with a guitar on his hand. "Dad, let's relieve those moments again." he says. "Why not." Marco takes the guitar and stands exact the same place 20 years ago, but this time Elliot is standing next to him. Everyone cheers for them.

"Wise men say
'Only fools rush in'
But I can't help
Falling in love with you.."

(Marco looks at Elliot)

"Shall I stay?
Would it be a sin
If I can't help
Falling in love with you?"

(Marco stops, tears falls down on his cheeks.)

"Take my hand
Take my whole life, too.."

(Elliot holds his hand.)

Everyone sings it together looking at their partners. "I love you Elliot, I love you in every universe." Marco hugs him tightly. "I love you more than myself Marco, thanks for everything." Elliot says back. They kiss each other just like they did for the first time. Elliot wipes his tears and kisses his forehead.

"The cake is here guys." Carlos shouts. "And here's the ring." Arjun gives them the box. The cutest ring bearer ever. Marco kneels down and puts the ring on Elliot's finger. Elliot does it too. They cut the cake and distributes to everyone.

"Uh.. excuse me? I was watching you all from there.. Would you mind if I take a family photo of you all together?" an unknown girl comes in. "Sure why not?" Marco agrees. The family poses for the camera and girl clicks their pictures. "I have to say, you guys are not an ordinary couple, you are Soulmates" she says. "Thank you.." Marco and Elliot smiles at her. Everyone else has already gotten into the car, leaving the two of them behind. The couple looks at the school, where they found each other. The feeling is not normal, it's just so divine.

Marco looks at Elliot. "Let's go then?" Elliot kisses him. "Sure.." And with that, they hold each other's hands and heads towards their home.
