Chapter 26 - What's next?

"After such a long wait, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom finally gave his statement on the death of his son. In his statement he has clearly said that the reason for his son's death was the fire in the house. There is no involvement of anyone else in this!"

"Hat's off to Marco! I mean the PM got scared by his one threat! Wow!!" Lisa says. Elliot laughs and sips his coffee. Lisa turns off the TV and looks at him. "Don't you think the whole world is afraid of Marco? I mean the way he talks and his attitude! Oh my God, I'm a fan now." she says. "But he is scared of your brother." Marco enters the room. Elliot smirks and finishes his coffee. Lisa stands up immediately. "Uh.. um.. I.. I.. I think I should go now. David must be waiting for me. See ya." she says and leaves the room.

Marco somehow holds his laugh and closes the door behind. "Catch it." he throws a gun towards him. "But what should I do with it?" Elliot asks. Marco stands in front of the mirror and fixes his messy hair. "Keep it. You'll need this in the future." he replies. Elliot gets confuse. "What do you mean by that? Is everything okay?" he asks. Marco turns around and sits next to him. "After today if anyone tries to trouble you, kill him. I will take care of the rest." he says. Elliot rolls his eyes and puts the gun into his cupboard. "You're insane!" he says. Marco laughs and kisses him. Elliot kisses back. Suddenly someone knocks the door. "I'm sorry to disturb you sir, but Mr. Robert is here. He is looking for you." Sebastian says. "What the fuck he is doing here?" Marco feels irritated. "Wait, I'm coming with you." Elliot says. "No, you won't!" Marco stops him. "But.." Elliot tries to say. "It's an order! Stay here until I return. I don't want him to meet you." Marco says back and slams the door. Elliot sighs and waits.

In the living room:

Robert stands up seeing Marco coming towards him. "Say whatever you want and get out of here." Marco says. Robert approaches him. "Answer me, What do you want Marco? What was the need to take Edward's life? Have you gone crazy or what?" he yells. "Oh! So, should I have worshipped him? Stop talking nonsense and get out of here!" Marco yells back. This makes Robert angry. "Yeah I'll leave. But, I want my share in the company back. I won't let you ruin everything like this." he says. "I won't give it to you, do whatever you want." Marco says back. Robert doesn't say anything. He turns around and starts walking towards the main door but stops. "I understand who messed up your mind." he says looking at a picture of Elliot. Marco looks at him and clenches his jaw. "Before you give my share to your slut, I will do anything to take it back." Robert says. Hearing this, Marco takes out his gun and points towards him. "Stop it Marco!" Maya walks in. "Don't do this please." she shouts. Marco lowers his gun and blinks his eyes. "Calm down, I'll handle him." Maya rubs his shoulder. "Explain to him well that if he insults my love again, I will have no regrets after killing him!" Marco says and walks towards his bedroom.

Robert holds Maya's arm tightly. "You have given good upbringing to your son. Anyways, now it is difficult for him to escape, because he has challenged a very big danger. You son is in danger Maya!" he says. Maya releases the grip and pushes him away. "Marco is not in danger, Robert. Marco himself is a danger!" she says. Robert laughs and leaves the mansion.

In the bedroom:

Marco enters the room in anger. He slams the door behind and sits on the sofa. "Hey what happened? Did he said something wrong?" Elliot asks. Marco hugs him. "Leave it." he replies. Elliot doesn't say anything. After a few seconds Maya enters their room. "Hey mom, how are you?" Elliot greets her. Maya immediately hugs him. They sits on the couch. "I'm glad to see that you're okay now." Maya says. Elliot smiles rests his head on her shoulder. Maya squeezes his cheeks and Marco clicks their picture. "Oh, by the way. Your marriage date has been fixed. There's is an auspicious time next week, the marriage will take place on that day." Maya announces. Elliot and Marco looks at each other. They have no idea how to react. Their happiness has no bounds. "Time is very less so, I need to prepare everything as soon as possible. And listen, tomorrow morning both of you will go and buy your engagement rings okay?" Maya says. "Sure ma." Marco replies. Maya stands up and walks towards her bedroom.

"I can't believe that we are getting married!" Elliot says with teary eyes. "I know right? Finally!" Marco says back. Elliot wipes his tears and hugs him. Suddenly Marco's phone rings. They breaks the hug and Marco immediately picks up the call and walks outside. Elliot smiles and stands at the balcony. He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. He opens his eyes and looks down. He sees Marco is talking to someone there. The person is not a familiar one. Elliot tries to see his face but the person is wearing a facemask. He notices that the unknown person gives a brief case to Marco. Antony is also there with them. The person leaves the place after a few seconds. Elliot sees that Marco handovers the brief case to Antony and gives him some instructions. Elliot immediately steps back seeing Marco entering.

At night:

Marco and Elliot are sleeping on their bed after having dinner. Elliot is sleeping on the right side of the bed and Marco in the left but his hand is on Elliot's waist. Suddenly a noise comes from the outside of their bedroom and Marco wakes up. He looks around but there is no one. He looks at Elliot who is in deep sleep. He kisses his cheeks. "How can someone look so cute while sleeping?" he whispers. The noise comes again. Marco climbs off of the bed and opens the door but there is no one. He takes his gun and closes the door behind. He checks on his mother's room and sees her sleeping. Marco goes downstairs and looks around and finds nothing. "Sir, do you want something?" Sebastian asks from behind. "I guess someone is here." Marco replies. "Wait, let me check." Sebastian says and start searching. Marco feels something odd and immediately runs towards his bedroom. Elliot is still sleeping. "Sir, come here!" Sebastian shouts. Marco locks the door and runs towards him.

"What's the matter?" Marco asks. Sebastian gives him a piece of paper. "Hello sweetheart." is written there. Marco remembers something. "This is impossible! Sebastian, check the backyard footage immediately." Marco says. "Yes sir." Sebastian runs towards the computer room. Marco follows him. They checks the footage. "Pause it! Zoom on his face." Marco says. "The face is not clear sir. But don't worry I'll find out something." Sebastian says back. Marco nods and leaves the room. He looks at the paper carefully. "Tell me once who you are, then I'll create such situations for you that you will not be able to even dream of!" Marco mumbles. He keep that paper in a drawer and heads towards his bedroom.

Marco enters the room and closes the door behind. He puts his gun on the drawer and lies down on the bed. Elliot turns over on his side and hugs him. Marco kisses his forehead and stares at him. "Don't worry baby, you're safe with me." he whispers. Elliot slightly smiles and falls asleep again. Marco chuckles. He wraps him in his arms and closes his eyes. Within a minute he falls asleep.
