Chapter 40 - Baby shower

Next day :

Elliot wakes up in the morning and he gets shocked as soon as he opens his eyes. "Wait, what?" he says. The whole bedroom is decorated with golden and white balloons. "Good morning darling." Marco walks in. He holds Elliot's arms and helps him to sit. "Do you like it?" he asks. Elliot looks around. "Yes but, what is this babe?" he looks at him. "Uh.. it's for your baby shower." Marco replies. Elliot gasps. "Oh my God are you crazy? When did you do all this?" he asks. "Just did it a few hours ago." Marco replies. Elliot gets emotional and immediately hugs him. "I love you so much babe." he says. "I love you too El. Now let's get up and get ready for the party." Marco says back. He holds him by his waist and enters the bathroom.

Marco turns on the shower and helps him to bath. "Oi, the baby kicks again." Elliot says. Marco quickly gets on his knees and kisses his bump. "Now I seriously can't wait to see you princesses. Daddy loves you." he says. "Papa loves you too." Elliot says. Marco stands up and pins him against the wall and kisses him. He kisses his neck and leaves a small mark there. "Marco, are you mad or what? What will the guests say if they see it?" Elliot pushes him away. "Let the people see it so they will understand, that you belongs to me only!" Marco says. "Shut up!" Elliot blushes. They laughs and again kisses each other. A few minutes later they comes out of the bathroom and wears their clothes. Elliot wears a red coloured maternity gown because his sweat shirt and pants are not fitting him anymore.

"Am I looking like a cartoon?" he asks looking at the mirror. Marco comes and hugs him from the back. He is wearing a blue shirt and black jeans."Obviously not baby, but yeah I must say that you are looking like a red elephant." he replies. "What did you just say?" Elliot kicks Marco's belly by his elbow. "Aren't you saying much? You can be a Mafia king outside the house but here I'm your boss, remember that okay?" he says. Marco holds his laugh and salutes him. "Your lovely husband is on duty darling, tell me what you want." he teases. Elliot grabs him by his collar and makes eye contact. "I want a lot of things but it can't happen right now. So, let's go downstairs." he smirks. "Okay boss." Marco says. Elliot laughs and holds his hand and they leaves the room.

The whole is decorated with white and golden balloons from stairs to the hall. They enters the hall and Elliot gets emotional. 'Oh Princesses!' is written on the wall. There are two big teddy bears around the table. There's a beautifully decorated blueberry cake on that table at the stage. Marco and Elliot get up on the stage and Elliot takes the knife. "I love you so much all, thanks for making this journey so memorable." he says. "Anything for you bestie." Atharv says. He is wearing a t-shirt with 'Cool uncle.' written on it. Elliot smiles seeing that. He looks around and sees that Lisa and David are also wearing the same type of t-shirt with 'Smart uncle' and 'Hot Auntie' written. Marco takes their pictures. "Cut the cake now." Maya walks in with the guests. She is wearing a grey coloured saree and a cute cap on her head. 'Sassy Grandma' is written on it. "Oh God, mom you too!" Elliot looks at her. "Why not? Sorry to say El, but it is my responsibility to spoil your children." Maya says back. "Yes sure ma." Marco laughs. The guests come and stands in front of them. Elliot cuts the cake and Atharv bursts the party popper. Elliot gives the first bite to Marco and then Lisa distributes the cake.

"Won't you feed me cake, Elliot?" A voice comes from behind. Everyone looks at the gate and sees Daniel is standing there. "Why you guys are so surprised to see me here, huh? I'm also the member of this family, right Elliot?" Daniel looks at him. He approaches him and gives a flower bouquet. "Couldn't bring much gift so I just brought flowers for you." he says. Elliot doesn't accept the flowers and looks away. "Don't you any self respect? Don't you have any work? Why the hell you always come here again and again?" David yells. "Leave it D, shameless people do not feel ashamed. He is that street dog which no matter how much you chase it away, it still comes back again and again." Marco says. "But when that dog bites, it hurts a lot and sometimes a person even loses his life!" Daniel says back. He looks at Elliot again. "I am leaving for now but I will definitely come back. Someone will have to compensate for what your husband has done!" he says. Elliot doesn't reply. Daniel smirks and tries to touch his hands but before that Marco comes and stands in between them. "Will you go yourself or will I kick you out?" he growls.

"I am leaving but be prepared to see your destruction Marco." Daniel says. Marco clenches his fist and gives a death stare. "Wait!" Elliot interrupts. He picks up the flower bouquet and throws it on Daniel's face. "Take your shit with you too and stay away from my family!" he says. Daniel chuckles and picks up the bouquet. "I brought this for you with love but you rejected it, no problem. Just take care of yourself. There will be pain at the time of delivery but even after that there will be a lot of pain, so don't forget to take painkillers." he says. "I don't need your fucking advice Daniel, just get lost from here." Elliot says back. "You heard it right? Now get out of here!" Marco yells. Daniel doesn't say anything he just looks at Elliot and leaves.

The guests whispers something behind them but they ignores. "Alright enough drama today. Now stop thinking about it and let's enjoy." Maya says. She rubs Elliot's shoulder and makes him sit on a chair. "Bro please don't spoil your mood for that idiot." Atharv says. "I'm fine. Just go and tell Antony to keep an eye on Daniel." Marco says back. Atharv nods and walks away. "So, are you nervous or excited?" Lisa asks. "I don't know Li, I myself don't know what is happening. Sometimes I get angry and sometimes I feel like crying." Elliot replies. "And because of his mood swings, I get beaten up." Marco teases. "Please just get lost!" Elliot rolls his eyes. Lisa couldn't stop laughing. Marco sighs and goes towards the kitchen. "Hey by the way, who are these people here?" Elliot asks. "David said they are Maya auntie's office mates." Lisa replies. "Oh I never met them before." Elliot says. "Wait, let me bring you some food." Lisa says and walks towards the kitchen.

Elliot is sitting alone on a chair but David is standing there talking to someone. A lady comes and sits next to him. "Congratulations." she wishes. "Thank you so much." Elliot greets her. "So, when is due date?" she asks. "Very soon." Elliot replies. "I heard so much about you. How you support this family, helps them in every situation. You are a brave person." the lady says. Elliot just smiles. He feels so tired and looks for Marco. "Anyways, I heard that Maya made you the new CEO of the company? Wow man, you're so damn lucky." the lady says again. Elliot feels very awkward and stays silent.

"Obviously Sophia, he is so lucky. This family has given a lot to Elliot. Otherwise you think, a person who does not even have his own house has become the CEO of such a big company!" another lady comes. Elliot just looks at her. "I agree Julie." Sophia laughs. "Please don't mind Elliot but your husband has taken you off the streets and placed you on the throne. May God give such a husband to everyone." Julie says. "What do you mean by that?" Elliot finally breaks his silence. "Don't mind but the truth is that you never had anything of your own. Whatever you have now is given by this family." Julie replies. "You got everything only because of your beauty, otherwise you did not earn anything on your own!" Sophia says. Elliot tries to say something but Julie interrupts him. "And your actions are also not good wherever you go you fascinate someone! I don't know what type of person you are!" she says.

"He is mine as he is!" Marco walks in. The two ladies immediately stand up from their chairs. "You don't need to worry about how Elliot is. He is mine and I love him the way he is. So, it's none of your business you can leave now." Marco says. Julie and Sophia apologizes to Elliot and leaves. "Are you okay?" he asks. "Yeah." Elliot replies. Marco gives him the coffee and they sits on the chair. Elliot sips his coffee. Suddenly Atharva comes running. "Bro I have a news!" he says. "What is it Atharv?" Marco asks. "I just found out that Sam is also involved with Daniel!" Atharv replies. "Ah! That behenchod too?" Elliot says. Marco spills his coffee hearing that pure abuse from Elliot. "Nice but I think you need to take some rest." Marco says coughing. "You are teaching him very well!" Mays says from behind. "Did I say something wrong?" Elliot asks. "No absolutely not! You said the right thing." Marco laughs. He holds him by his waist and goes upstairs.

In the bedroom:

Elliot sits on the bed and looks at Marco. "I love the way you said that baby. You are my good student." Marco says. "That was some bad slang right? Oh my God!" Elliot lies down and hides his face in the blanket. Marco lies next to him and hugs him. "I will teach you more don't worry." he says. "Shut up!" Elliot shouts. They laugh and cuddle with each other.
