Chapter 19 - Nightmare

At the office :

Marco enters his cabin. He sits on his chair and looks at Antony. "Did you do the work I asked you to do?" he asks him. "Yes sir. There are many things that you need to know." Antony replies. "Great! Now tell me one by one." he says. Antony clears his throat and starts. "Sir, I did as you said. I had asked some of my intelligence agents to keep an eye on Edward. They informed me that Edward has a farm house in Texas. He goes there every weekend to party. It is also known that some illegal activities take place there like drugs, weapons and many more. (chuckles) the funny part is his father The Prime Minister had no idea about it." Marco rolls his eyes. "I knew it. Anyways continue." he says.

"One more thing has come to light which is very important for you to know." Antony says. Marco frowns. "And what is it?" he asks. "Edward has a connection with Daniel! He helps him in doing all this illegal things here." Antony replies. Marco becomes stressed upon hearing Daniel's name. He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath. "Are you okay sir?" Antony asks. "Yeah I'm fine." Marco replies. He stands up from his chair. "Okay then, that's enough information for today. Keep an eye on Edward and if you get to know anything about him please let me know immediately." he says and leaves for home. Marco gets in on his car and gets immersed in some deep thought. His driver looks at him but didn't dare to ask anything. He starts the car immediately.

In the Mansion:

Marco reaches home safely. He finds something strange. The whole mansion is empty and there is no light. He looks around but sees no one. "Elliot! Ma! Where are you guys? Sebastian!" he starts shouting. His heart start beating fast. "El? Baby where are you????" he shouts again but there's no answer. Marco turns on his phone's torch and looks around. "Ma... Elliot... please answer me please." he feels sick and sits on the floor. He starts suffocating. It seems as if this darkness is trying to take his life. "Ma, El please answer me. D-don't leave me alone. Please....." Marco shouts again. He feels like someone is coming towards him. His vision gets blurry but still he tries to save himself.

Suddenly he feels a strong grip on his right shoulder. "No! No! Stay away! Don't come close to me please don't touch me! Don't touch me please!" Marco freaks out. "Hey hey it's me Elliot. I'm just right here don't worry." Elliot holds him in his arms. Immediately the lights of the mansion switch on."Please don't leave me please." Marco gets a panic attack and faints. "Babe? Are you alright? Mom please come here fast." Elliot shouts. "Marco! Oh my God! What happened to him?" Maya asks. "I don't know Ma, he was shouting like 'don't touch me, don't leave me' and then he fainted." Elliot replies. "Oh God please not again!" Maya mumbles. "Sebastian, please call the doctor immediately." she orders. They picks up Marco and takes him to the bedroom.

An hour later the doctor comes. He examine Marco's condition. "How's he doctor?" Elliot asks. "Panic attacks always worsen the condition of even the best of people. But don't worry, I have given the medicine. He will be fine by morning." The doctor says. Elliot takes a breath of relief. "Please let me know if something happens again." the doctor says and leaves the mansion. "Elliot, please do take care of him. I'll see you guys tomorrow." Maya wipes her tears and runs away immediately. Elliot slowly climbs up on the bed and lies down next to Marco. "Please get well soon babe. I miss you." he whispers.

Next morning:

Elliot comes out of the bathroom and finds Marco is awake. "How are you feeling babe?" he asks. "Fine." Marco replies without looking at him. "You had a panic attack last night. Are you sure you are fine?" Elliot asks again. Marco blinks his eyes and looks away from him. "Why was it so dark last night? I got scared!" Marco asks. "I'm so sorry Marco, someone intentionally broked the power socket while you are gone. Later the electrician came and was fixing it and right then I heard you screaming." Elliot explains. Marco sighs. Elliot holds his hand and looks at him. "I know you have Nyctophobia. I'll make sure it doesn't happen again." he says. They remains silent for a couple of minutes.

"Is there something that is bothering you? What are you hiding from me? Look, I know there's something that's killing you inside. Please say something." Elliot begs. Marco wipes his tears and looks at him. "I don't have Nyctophobia or anything. I don't fear the dark, I hate it. I hate the darkness." Marco finally says. Elliot looks confused. "What! But why? What is the reason behind it?" he asks. "Daniel." Marco says immediately. "What! What are you saying?" Elliot disbeliefs. "Daniel raped me when I was 17 years old!" Marco confesses. Hearing this Elliot gets shocked. "Isn't he is your cousin?" he asks. "He is a devil!" Marco says back.

(Flashback starts:-)

Marco was sitting on his bed playing video games on his laptop when suddenly the light went off. He did not respond to it and keeps playing. After a sometime he heard someone walking towards him. He looked at the door and saw Daniel is looking at him. He was drunk. "Daniel, this is not your room. Please leave." Marco said. Daniel ignored him and walked straight into his room. "Daniel please get out from here." Marco yelled. "Shut up you idiot." Daniel yelled back. He threw his laptop out of the room and locked the door. "What are you doing? Please Daniel stay away from me." Marco panicked. "Let's have some fun tonight." Daniel laughed like a devil. Before Marco could say anything Daniel jumped on him and bit his neck. "Get off!!!" Marco screamed. Daniel held him tightly around his neck and began to strangle him. "Just do what I say or I'll kill you." he threatend. Marco tried his best to lose the grip but failed. "Please le-leave me.. please.." he begged. Daniel stripped him and entered his body like a sharp knife.

(Flashback ends:- )

"Whenever I tried to scream he choked me. I thought I will pass out that night." Marco says everything."I'm so sorry." Elliot hugs him tightly. "After he was done he dragged me to the bathroom and shoved me in the bathtub, so that he doesn't get caught later." Marco wipes his tears. "Did you told anyone?" Elliot asks. "Yes. After Daniel left the room. I ran towards my dad, I told him everything but (pauses) he didn't believed me. I showed him the marks and everything but he still didn't believed me." Marco replies. "What kind of a human he is! Shame on him." Elliot curses.

"After that, dad left me alone with that Devil. I begged him for stay but he didn't even turned back. Before I could call my mom Daniel dragged me again and locked me in the basement. Two days later, ma came back from her office trip and rescued me." Marco says. "And what did she said?" Elliot asks. "After I said everything to her. She beat Daniel badly, she beat him so much that he started bleeding all over his body." Marco replies. Elliot kisses his forehead and rubs his shoulder. "But he is such a psychopath that he didn't stop there. He tried to force me again but this time I pushed him so hard that his head hit the wall and he went straight into coma. And I don't regret that. But I wish if I had pushed him a little harder, he would have died that very day!" Marco says.

"Shhh, calm down babe." Elliot wraps him in his arms. "Now you tell me, do you still want to marry me?" Marco asks. "Is that even a question? Ofcourse I will marry you my baby's would be father." Elliot replies. Marco laughs. "You did a lot for me my love, now it's my turn. If Daniel looks at you again, I swear to God I won't leave him!" Elliot says. Marco breaks the hug and looks at him. "Baby, don't lose your senses in excitement. It's my job to kill okay? You won't do anything." he says. "Okay sir as you wish." Elliot replies. They both starts laughing.

"The pairing of both is perfect. Just perfect. Now I have no worries, these two are enough to destroy anyone." Maya says while looking at them.
