Chapter 56 - Recovery

Next morning:

Marco and Elliot are still in the hospital. Both of them are sleeping, one on the bed and other one next to the bed. Marco's head is on the bed while his rest of the body is on the floor but he's still holding Elliot's hand. David and Antony are roaming outside of the room but Atharv is not there.

Suddenly Elliot's fingers moves and Marco wakes up. He immediately look at him and calls the doctor. "El? can you hear me? You're safe now baby." he says. The doctor comes and checks Elliot. "Don't worry, he's fine now, he is slowly coming to his senses." the doctor says. "Oh thank God!" Marco smiles. Elliot slowly opens his eyes and looks around. "Hey love." Marco says. "How are you feeling now? Any pain?" the doctor asks. "My daughters.. where are they?" Elliot panics. "They are at home and safe don't worry." Marco replies. Elliot takes a deep breath. "Okay then, let's observe for a few hours and if everything stays fine then you can take him home." the doctor says. Marco nods. The doctor takes his permission and leaves.

"How's mom? She is okay na?" Elliot asks. Marco comes and sits next to him. "She is fine. Actually this was their calculated move against us so that we go to save mother and they can attack you from behind." Marco replies. "But don't worry I killed all of them, especially that cheater Jack!" he says. Elliot sighs. "I'm thinking now, What if you don't come on time? What if they..." he stops. "Ssshh.. calm down baby. Never say such a thing again and for your kind information, it wasn't me who saved them. It was you El, you saved our girls. You fought for them and I'm so proud of you darling." Marco says. "I love you." Elliot says. "I love you more." Marco kisses his forehead.

Three hours later:

After observing Elliot's condition for some hours the doctor finally discharge him. He gives him a tons of medicines to eat. "Ugh! Now I have to take these medicines everyday? Oh God!" Elliot says. "Yes baby, How will you get well without medicine huh? Stop acting like a kid El." Marco says back. Elliot hits him with the pillow. "Oh hello, my right arm is injured but the left arm is still working okay? If you wants to stay alive then keep your mouth shut!" Elliot scolds him. "Okay as you say boss." Marco laughs. "The car is ready, we can leave now." David walks in. Marco gently holds Elliot's left hand and walks out of the room. They gets in the car and heads towards their home.

At the Mansion:

They reaches home safely after an hour. Lisa immediately hugs Elliot as soon as he enters. "I missed you so much." she says. "I missed you too Li." Elliot smiles and slowly sits on the sofa. "Oh my boy." Maya hugs him tightly. "Thank God you're safe, I got so scared." she says. "Now I'm fine mom don't worry." Elliot says. They breaks the hug and Maya approaches Marco. "It is your responsibility to ensure that this incident does not happen again! Enough of being so calm and polite, it's time, I want my ruthless Mafia King Marco back! You got me?" she orders. "Sure ma, your wish will be fulfilled soon." Marco assures.

At evening:

Both Eleanor and Siya are crying to get up in Elliot's lap. After being apart for a day, both of them are desperate to go to him. "I'm sorry my baby but I can't pick you up as of now. It's painful for me too but I have no choice." Elliot tries to comfort them. "Come here, let's take a walk outside." Marco picks up Eleanor and Siya together but still they are crying. "I'm sorry munchkins." Elliot gets emotional seeing them crying like this. Now it's difficult for Marco to control them so he puts them back on the bed. Elliot lies down next to them and puts his left palm on their chests. "I'm here, Once I get better, I promise I will never leave you two again. Now please stop crying." he says.
