To Be Happy

Chapter 29

A/N: Sorry for the long wait!! I've been distracted by packing as I'm suddenly told we're traveling abroad and I've been reading a lot. I HOPE YOU ENJOY THIS CHAPTER THOUGH!!!! This was supposed to be a side story hehe.

It was a normal day for the youngest Carozza's household, Macau and Porchay are back to going to school while Kei and Vegas work. Venice is also growing well, babbling here and there, curious about a lot of things.

Vegas has been helping with Kei's work, helping her especially when it comes to the underworld. He once thought that he won't have the chance to work in the mafia world anymore but Kei seems to think otherwise.

Kei brought this up one night, asking him what he wanted to do now, and as much as the mafia world gave him lots of pain, he does enjoy doing the business. He talks about this with Kei and she tells him that it's a pity to waste his talents, ever since then Vegas has been working with Kei and Theo.

Today, Vegas has to go meet Theo for a meeting, the older has given him responsibility for extracting information and there seems to be something to discuss. Vegas stood up from his desk and walked towards Kei, which was placed in Kei's home office since both of them are able to work from home.

"I'll be going out to meet Theo, want me to bring anything?"

"Som Tam, please!"

"Okay, I'll be back soon, honey!"

"Mhm~ Love you!"

"Love you, too"

Vegas quickly swipes the girl's chin for a kiss, before pecking her in the forehead and heading out. As he was about to exit the room, he looked back once more before reminding Kei what they talked about last night.

"Honey, don't forget to talk to Cau and Chay, okay!"

"Oh, I won't forget hehe"

Vegas leaves Kei, who laughs mischievously, he can only apologize silently to Macau and Porchay for what's about to come, knowing how shameless his girlfriend can be.

Kei was pretty excited to see how Macau and Porchay would react to their talk and is looking forward to the time they'll get back home. For now, she's focusing back on her work, doing it in a good mood.

Last night, after Porsche visited, Kei and Vegas ended up in bed, cuddling as they mindlessly talked about their lives. They mostly discussed Venice, and how they would move forward with the little one along with Macau and Porchay.

As they talked about Macau and Porchay, Vegas suddenly brought up the topic of the 'talk', mentioning how he hadn't gotten the chance to talk about it with Macau and wondered if they should.

Kei brought up her thoughts about it, saying that they should talk about it with both Macau and Porchay because she's pretty sure Porchay hasn't gotten the talk yet.

Vegas think it's a great idea and ended up telling Kei that she should talk about it with them as he'll have to meet Theo the next day.

Kei was about to complain but Vegas reminded her that she would probably enjoy seeing their reaction and have fun with it, to which she immediately grinned and started giggling to herself.

That night, Vegas wondered how the hell he ended up falling for Kei. His past self would think that he'll fall for someone submissive, someone who would be in his mercy but Kei is none of that. He ends up letting out a grin as he hugs Kei closer.

Soon enough Macau and Porchay got back home from school and they were told to freshen up before they'll be meeting with Kei at their library. The two took a quick shower before heading to the library together.
