To Be Happy

Chapter 6

A/N: Basically a word vomit lol

Since everything is settling down and the brothers are not in much danger, Macau finally heads back to school. Their days pass with the three of them having breakfast together before either Kei or Justin drives Macau to school (with Kun too, guarding him), Kei then does her work at home with Vegas, and the man stays in Kei's work room with a book in his hand.

They'd have lunch together before continuing with their stuff before picking up Macau from school, listening to the younger as he rambles about the school, from that they also found out that Porchay transferred to Macau's class. They don't mind, and they'll stop by a bakery or a coffee shop to buy something before heading back.

A week passes by and Vegas is now off from his wheelchair, his and Macau's room is also decorated, and they've moved to each of their rooms, Vegas has been spending a bit more of his time in the kitchen, making some snacks for both himself and Kei. Sometimes he'll make dinner for the three of them too.

Kei has been having more free time these days, and so sometimes she'll follow Vegas to the kitchen and watch the man whip up something from the fridge. The food prepared by Vegas always tastes so good, so she looks forward to it every day, though she never says it out loud.

It was a Friday and the day seemed to pass by like usual, they ate breakfast, Macau went to school, and this time it was Justin picking Macau up while Vegas and Kei prepared a snack for once Macau was home.

Vegas and Kei decided to make a simple egg sandwich, with Kei in charge of cracking the egg and mixing it while Vegas did the cooking. The two work together silently, with music playing in the background.

The moment they're done with the sandwich, Kei makes a simple lemonade while Vegas brings the snack to the living room. Once Kei is done, she brings the drinks to the living room, just in time for Macau to enter the house.

Macau plops to the sofa before then starts rummaging his bag, he grabs a paper and suddenly hesitates. Vegas and Kei sat by each of his sides, and so he shook his hesitation and pulled a piece of paper out.

"Phi... We have a presentation at school and we are told to bring our family to look around, can you both come?"

"Of course, Cau!" Vegas replied calmly.

"I'LL CALL P'REY AND P'THEO TO COME!! WHEN IS IT??" Kei, feeling excited, exclaimed.

"On Monday, Phi. It's okay if you're busy though..."

"NO! We'll always have time for you!"

Kei excitedly starts calling Rey and Theo, telling them to free up their schedule because Macau will have a presentation at school. The two older happily freed up their schedule, asking Kei to pass the phone to Macau and telling him how they look forward to Monday.

Macau beams at Kei, no words can explain how he feels, not only his brother will come but also Kei, Rey, and Theo. Family, My Family. Macau silently thought to himself.

All these years, Macau would invite Vegas to his school event and his hia would come if it was possible and even then Vegas would get scolded by their dad. Now, seeing how carefree his brother was, he felt relieved.

The three spend their day as per usual before heading to bed. They spent the weekend watching movies, with Kei insisting that they should watch High School Musical and Princess Diaries.

Soon enough it was Monday and both Vegas and Kei prepared to go to Macau's school, the two accidentally wore matching outfits, to which Macau gave the both a knowing look. Kei was about to change but Vegas told her that it was fine.
