NAYA POV
THURSDAY, JANUARY 19th
I woke up at 8 a.m. in my Los Angeles bed, surrounded by quiet. I slowly got out of bed, heading down to the kitchen to make a light breakfast before working out. I decided to text Stephanie to see if Josey was awake. I'm grateful that she could watch Josey until I get back on Sunday morning since it's draining for a little five-year-old to travel back and forth so often.
Stephanie: He's up eating breakfast. Do you want to FaceTime?
Naya: Yes, please.
Josey and I spoke for a quick 25 minutes since I had to reach the set at 10:30 a.m. We had to start filming the video, and I was anxious. All I could think about while working out, besides the joy of being a woman, was how Sean would react when he saw me. Would it be strictly professional, or would it be cordial? I showered when I noticed it was almost 9 a.m., knowing that I was going to put more effort into my appearance because I wanted to leave a lasting impression. It was just a bonus that Sean would be there.
I reached set by 10:15 am to see my manager, Sabrina, waiting for me outside. We greeted each other, and she walked me inside the building to introduce me to the director, Richard. After I met the crew, I headed to wardrobe and makeup. Richard informed me that we are going for a late 90s and early 2000s look, which I think they accomplished.
When I got back, as soon as I walked in, I spotted Sean talking to some short, light-skinned redhead girl. I went over to my manager to try and distract myself from the girl clearly flirting with Sean.
"Hey," I heard coming from behind me, and I turned around to see Sean.
"Hi," I responded, trying to hide the fact that I was checking him out in his outfit.
