Unknown:
Good morning, kitty!

Ruby:
Shut it before it's permanently shut.

Unknown:
Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold onto your tongue, kitty.

Ruby:
Last time, tell me who you are?

Unknown:
You'll see.

What does he think of himself? A shadow? Or some kind of mysterious enigma? Jennie thought to herself.

She shut her phone off and rubbed her temples to relieve her pain. She couldn't sleep the whole night due to stress. It wasn't anything new for her, but the strange thing was that she hadn't done anything productive during that time.

Usually, when she stayed awake at night, it was because she was working. But on this particular night, she didn't do anything and just found herself staring at the sky from her balcony. What was wrong with her? Why couldn't she sleep the whole night?

Suddenly her phone lit up again with a notification as she looked at it thinking it was that jerk again.

"What the heck does he want from me?" She muttered under her breath in anger.

But to her surprise, it was not him but a notification from the BLACKPINK group. 2 members were online.

Rosie:
Where are you this early, Lis?

Maknae:
Good morning guys. I am outside on a mission. I'll catch up with y'all later.

"Mission? That too alone? This maknae," Jennie thought to herself placing the palm of her hand on her forehead.

Jen:
Why the heck did you go alone? Huh.

She sighed in disappointment as she saw the notification saying '0 members online'. Frustrated, she tossed her phone onto the bed and closed her eyes, feeling the weight of stress and frustration.

"I really need a break," she whispered to herself, mustering up the courage to take a walk. Putting on a mask and her jogging outfit, she headed out, in an attempt to clear her mind.

The refreshing morning breeze gently caressed her tired face as she closed her eyes, fully embracing the beauty of nature. She found a nearby bench and sat down, even though it was still early morning and not quite daytime yet.

A stranger caught her eye, causing her to turn her head and raise her eyebrows in surprise.

"What are you doing?" she asked, scooting a bit further away as he sat down beside her on the same bench. The strange thing was, he was wearing a mask, so she couldn't see his face.

"Go away, little girl," he said in a deep voice. Her heart skipped a beat at the sound of his voice, but she brushed off the feeling and replied, "I was here first, you go away."

"I don't like repeating myself kid ," He said once again and sighed a deep cold breath.

"First of all, I ain't a kid. And so just you know I am not budging. And why am I even wasting my breath on you?" She said it all in one breath, like she was spitting out a rap verse.

The figure sitting beside her just chuckled beneath his mask, amused by her breath control.

"My bad, not trying to underestimate you. Guess, I misjudged you, you've got some serious attitude and I....." He said, his voice muffled.

Jennie waited for him to complete even though she didn't know why.

"I like it," He said and an unknown smile was already across her face. Why was she smiling? Over a stranger? She never even smiled when her own members praised her for anything. And why would she even need any praising? She knew she's the best.

"Who are you?" Jennie whispered, gazing at his face as he stared at the trees in front of him.

"A human? I guess," he replied, sounding unsure of himself.

"No, but-" Jennie started to say.

"I'll go now. Goodbye, kid," he interrupted, getting up and putting his hands in his pockets, gazing at the sky with a sigh.

This time, Jennie didn't find the word 'kid' annoying. It actually made her feel calm inside.
