The door to the room opened slowly and Rosé walked through. She took a look at the scene in front of her and smiled, her eyes softening as they took in her girlfriends.

Lisa was lying on the bed, her head resting on Jennie's lap. Jennie had one hand in Lisa's hair, gently running her fingers through the black strands.

Jisoo was sitting against the bed board, her hair messy and her eyes tired. Rosé could see the exhaustion in her expression.

Rosé crossed the room and sat on the edge of the bed, her eyes flicking over her girlfriends. "You all look tired," she says softly, her gaze lingering on Jennie. Jennie looked up, her eyes meeting Rosé's. "My girls are tired," she replied, her hand never ceasing its movements in Lisa's hair.

Jisoo nodded in agreement, her head falling against the bed board. Lisa just grunted, her eyes still closed as she nuzzled into Jennie's lap.

"Let's cheer up? It's all fine now," Jennie added, looking at Rosé with gratitude. "Thanks to you." Rosé shrugged, a small smile playing on her lips.

"I couldn't let anything happen to my girls," she said simply. Jisoo sat up a bit, her eyes flickering between them. "I still can't believe you found us so quickly," she said, her voice laced with disbelief.

Jennie huffed, clearly not convinced. "But it took me seven hours," she said, her voice laced with frustration. "I should have found you sooner."

Rosé frowned at Jennie's words, "Cut yourself some slack, unnie," she said firmly.

"You found us, and that's what matters." Jennie opened her mouth to protest, but Lisa spoke up first. "Chae's right," she said, her eyes still closed. "You saved our asses."

Lisa sighed, her head resting on Jennie's lap, exhaustion etched on her face. "So much has happened in the past 24 hours," she said quietly.

Noticing Lisa's cheek Rosé, who was sitting nearby on the couch, widened her eyes blurting out, "I hated the way that b*tch slapped Lis-"

Lisa sat bolt upright, her eyes widening in surprise as she looked at Jennie who was looking like a dangerous lion. She knew all too well how fiercely Jennie guarded her, and the thought of her being hurt had clearly not gone over well.

"It's nothing, u-unnie," she said quickly, waving her off. But Jennie's eyes were fixed on the reddening mark on Lisa's cheek, anger warring in her expression.

"Who. Did. It?" Jennie asked, her voice low and intense, like the quiet before a storm.

Lisa fidgeted, running a hand through her hair. "Just some g-guy," she said evasively, trying to downplay the incident.

But Jennie wasn't fooled. She could see the fear and vulnerability in Lisa's eyes, even as she tried to brush it off. "Name? Lalisa Manoban," Jennie said through gritted teeth.

Lisa gulped, her heart rate quickening at the tone in Jennie's voice. She knew better than to try and dodge the question, especially when Jennie was in protective mode.

"W-well," she began hesitantly, her fingers tapping nervously on the bed. "I don't know his name..." she trailed off, her voice cracking slightly.

"But he was tall," she began, her voice a little shaky. "And muscular. He had dark hair, and a bitchy look in his eyes.” She paused, her gaze flicking to Jennie’s face, trying to gauge her reaction.

Jennie's jaw set in a firm line as she spoke into the phone. "Dark hair, tall and muscular," she said bluntly. "Find him. Near the warehouse where the girls were held captive. You have two hours, Jake."

The door to Namjoon’s office burst open, revealing Namjoon himself, followed by a grim-looking Jin, Jimin, J-hope, V, Suga and Jungkook followed close behind them, each one looking different degrees of frustration.

They all headed towards Namjoon’s desk, collapsing into nearby chairs and leaning against the wall.

Namjoon sat down behind his desk, leaning back in his chair and running a hand through his hair. "A total disaster."

Taehyung leaned against the wall, arms crossed over his chest, and a small smirk playing at the corner of his lips.

No one else noticed his expression, too focused on the current discussion and situation. He couldn't help but think back to the moment he'd helped kidnap Jennie out of that warehouse, his smirk widening as he remembered the fierce look in her eyes which turned into a scaredy cat in his arms.

He found her intriguing, different from other girls he'd encountered. There was something about her that made him want to know more, to figure her out. And he had a feeling she wasn't going to be easily intimidated or fooled. The thought both amused and excited him.

Namjoon let out a deep sigh, leaning forwards and resting his elbows on his desk.

"I can't believe we got outplayed like that. We had them right where we wanted them, and then casually that Ruby swoops in and saves them." Jimin swallowed his lump in frustration.

Jin nodded in agreement, pacing back and forth in the room. "We fucking underestimated her. She's smarter and braver than we gave her credit for."

Jimin and J-hope exchanged a glance, both looking frustrated. "But what do we do now?" J-hope asked, drumming his fingers on the armrest of his chair. "We can't just let them go."

V spoke up from his spot on the wall, his expression thoughtful. "What if we don't play their game?" he suggested.

Namjoon raised an eyebrow at him. "What do you mean?"

V leaned off the wall, standing up straight and fixing his suit jacket. "We know how they operate now. We have the upper hand."

Jungkook nodded, his eyes glinting. "Yeah. We don't need to play by their rules."

Namjoon looked around at his team, their expressions ranging from frustration to anger. "You're right," he said slowly. "But we need to be careful. They're not going to go down without a fight."

Jin stopped pacing and leaned against a bookshelf, his arms folded across his chest. "We need a plan. We can't go, rushing in blindly."
