The dining room table was large and polished, the soft glow of the chandelier reflecting off its surface.

Jennie was seated at one end of the table, her head bent over her plate as she pushed the food around with her fork.

Lisa settled into the chair next to Jennie, her eyes roaming over the various dishes laid out on the table. There was an assortment of dinner, steam rising from each plate.

Lisa shifted in her seat, a smirk playing at her lips. She knew Jennie well enough to know when something was bothering her, even if she was trying to hide it.

"Earth to eonnie," Lisa said, waving a hand in front of Jennie's face to get her attention. Jennie blinked, snapping out of her reverie, and gave Lisa a sidelong glance.

"You're staring at your food like you're trying to solve algebra," Lisa nudged Jennie lightly with her elbow.

Jennie rolled her eyes, but a small smile tugged at the corners of her lips. "I'm just not very hungry," she mumbled, pushing the food around her plate some more.

Gazing inadvertently across the room, her eyes fell on the Kim Taehyung who was chatting with Jimin. Her eyes lingered on him for a moment before she quickly looked away, hoping that Lisa hadn't noticed.

Lisa coughed slightly, before leaning to her right side where Jennie was sitting as she whispered, her eyes on the scene in front of her, "Eonnie, don't you think there's something really wrong with Jisoo eonnie and the Jin guy?"

Jennie averted to the scene where she noticed Jin coughing lightly when Jisoo served him dinner. They weren't looking at each other - Jisoo was busy serving the food while Jin was avoiding eye contact.

"Definitely wrong," Jennie raised her eyebrow looking at both the people.

Lisa leaned in closer to her, her voice dropping to a whisper.

"They're acting weird, right? Like, they can barely look at each other."

Jennie nodded slowly, her eyes still fixed on Jisoo and Jin. "Yeah, they're usually so comfortable around each other, but now it's like they're avoiding each other. It's really strange."

Lisa furrowed her brow in thought. "Do you think they had a fight or something?"

"What are you two gossiping about over here?" Rosé chimed in.

Lisa pointed discreetly with her eyes towards Jisoo and Jin, who were still not meeting each other's gaze.

Rosé followed her gaze and immediately understood what Lisa was referring to. "Ah, I see," she said, a gleam of curiosity in her eyes. "They do look a bit... off, don't they?"

Jennie cleared her throat before dropping her fork and spoon on the sides of her plate, "Enough, girls. Just eat your meal and head to bed."

He turned to his side, the sheets rustling quietly in the silence of the night. He drew his knees up slightly, trying to find a comfortable position, but his mind was restless.

The image of Jisoo's face flashed through his mind, her smile, her eyes, everything about her seared into his memory.

"Forget whatever happened
today."

It hit him like a knife on a burning scar, the scar on his skin making him restless.

Her voice echoed in his body, those words ringing through him like a tolling bell. He had tried to do what she asked, to let go and forget but his headache was just refusing with that request.
