Lisa's P. O. V.

I was sitting on the couch, my legs folded in front of me, staring up at the ceiling. This fancy room was part of RM's luxurious mansion and yet, it seemed like an endless pit of Boredom.

I looked around the room, taking in the faces of the people present, each one seemed lost in their own thoughts.

I sat up straighter as I tried to find something, anything, to break the monotony of this evening in this grand hall.

A deep sigh escaped my lips as I shifted on the couch, feeling the soft fabric beneath me. I fidgeted with the rings on my fingers, the gold and diamonds reflecting the room

I continued to sit on the couch, my boredom growing with each passing second. Then, out of the corner of my eye, I saw Jennie unnie making her way.

"Any news from Soo?" She asked while looking at Chae.

Chaeng nodded slightly before opening her mouth to say, "She called me a few hours ago and said everything's fine there. No need to worry."

I saw Prince leaning forward and then ran a finger through his hair to smooth it out, he turned to unnie and asked, "The riddle, Ruby?"

Jennie unnie turned her attention to Prince, her hands dropping on both her sides, "I'm having trouble deciphering it. It's like the riddle is... almost familiar, like I've heard it before, but I just can't remember where."

She walked to the grand piano, her fingers tapping on the edge of it as she mulled over the riddle in her mind.

Prince sat on the armchair nearest to me, his legs crossed elegantly as he listened to the conversation.

V was leaning against the wall, his arms folded across his chest

I glanced towards the side of the room where that idiot was. He was sitting on the other couch, looking bored out of his mind.

His eyes wandered around the room, but every so often they would linger on me for a second before darting away again.

I rolled my eyes and leaned back on the couch. I could already tell this was going to be a long night.

V licked his lower lip before opening his mouth to say, "You've heard this riddle before?" while Jennie unnie just nodded, closing her eyes a frown on her face.

Jennie's P. O. V.

I sat on the stool placed before the piano kept at the corner of the grand room. I was wearing a knee length white dress, and my hair was open in soft locks.

I placed all my fingers on the keys of the piano closing my eyes as I tried to play the past memories

I placed all my fingers on the keys of the piano closing my eyes as I tried to play the past memories. Where have I heard it?

I pressed the first key of the piano as something struck me in my throat making me stand up. I gulped it down, my eyes closed as I pressed the keys with some of my fingers.

I sat back on the stool, my hands dropping from the keys as the music died out.

Frustration filled my chest, mixing with the lingering sense of familiarity. I opened my eyes, staring at the piano keys like they held the answer.

Suddenly my mind represented some old whispers I could blindly recognize.

"What are you doing?" I asked him, placing the tea on the shining glass table. He was sitting on the piano playing my favourite tune.

He stopped abruptly as he heard my voice, his fingers hovering over the keys. He spun around on the piano stool, facing me with a casual smile.

"Just playing some music," he said, as if it was the most natural thing in the world.

I raised an eyebrow, stepping closer to the piano. "My favourite tune," I noted, amused.

I leaned against the piano, looking at him with a smirk. "Trying to impress me?"

He chuckled, his fingers tracing the keys idly. "Is it working?" he asked, his gaze meeting mine. His smile was easy, his body relaxed like a cat at ease.

I rolled my eyes, not letting his charming smile affect me. "You wish," I replied, folding my arms over my chest. But deep down, a small flutter of warmth stirred in my chest.

He gave me a smirk before suddenly grabbing my wrist and pulling me towards him, making me stumble and fall onto his lap. I let out a startled squeak as I landed on him, my face flushed with surprise and annoyance at his audacity.

He chuckled, the sound vibrating through his chest as he held me firmly in place. His hands slid down my arms, his touch gentle yet insistent, until he gripped my wrists and pinned them to the sides of his body. "Now this is how the song should be accompanied."

I wriggled in his grip, trying to free my wrists from his grasp but he held me tighter against him, pinning me in place. "Let me go, Kai!" I huffed, feeling my cheeks flush red.

He chuckled again, his fingers tracing idly up my arms as he held me down. "Oh, but I must have my price," he murmured. "If you want me to let you go, you'll have to answer a question for me first."

I scowled at him, struggling again in his grip. "Let me go, first, then I'll think about answering your stupid question." I retorted, my voice growing a little breathless.

"Ah, ah, ah." He tsked, his hold on my wrists growing tighter. He leaned closer, his breath warm against my ear as he whispered, "The question first, babes."

"Fine," I huffed, "Ask your question."

"Good girl." He murmured, the corners of his mouth curving into a satisfied smile. He loosened his grip on my wrists, but didn't release me entirely. He wanted to keep me close, to feel the heat of my body against his.

"Tell me," he said, his voice dropping even lower, "I can be written, exposed, spoken and broken."

I frowned slightly, trying to figure out the answer. It was a riddle, but a simple one. "A promise," I answered.

He turned me around, his arms still holding me firmly against him. He leaned forward, his face buried in the crook of my neck, his words planted as a soft whisper in my ear. "Exactly, babes," he murmured, his voice low that made my breath catch. "A secret that you have to keep now."

I twisted around in his arms, meeting his gaze with a glare. "What promise?"

"Promise me that you won't tell anyone about the Dark Manor." He remarked as my breath hitched. How did he know?

I looked at his eyes and I could feel him smirking, "I know you heard me talking about it with Chen, baby."
