"You forgot to add the most dangerous ones, hyung," I heard a deep voice, the same deep voice that made me feel things.

I turned around slowly, coming face to face with the owner of the voice. He was leaning against the wall near the door, his tall frame casually propped up against it.

Sweat beads were visible on his forehead, and strands of damp hair clung to his skin. His scarlet lips curled into a smirk, revealing a glimpse of his sharp canine teeth.

He was dressed in a black t-shirt and sweatpants. His dark eyes were fixed on me, studying me intently, and a hint of something dangerous and exciting lingered in his gaze.

I felt a strange sensation in my chest as his eyes met mine, and I had to remind myself to breathe.

I forced myself to look away, my eyes roaming the kitchen before me, trying to find something else to focus on.

Jin spoke up, his eyes crinkling slightly at the corners as he smiled at the newcomer. He leaned back slightly against the counter, his arms crossing casually in front of him.

"Oh V," he said, his tone warm. "You’re right on time." He nodded towards the newcomer. "We were just talking about the maknae line."

V's eyes held my gaze as he responded, his smirk growing wider. "No hyung, I just came here for water," he said, his tone casual and yet something deeper coloring his words.

He pushed away from the doorframe and sauntered into the kitchen, coming to a stop next to Jin. He leaned against the counter, his stance mirroring Jin's, and looked lazily at the food cooking on the stove.

His dark hair was mussed, as if he had run his hands through it multiple times. His black shirt hugged his well-defined torso, allowing me a glimpse of his toned arms and the hint of a tattoo peeking out from beneath the sleeve.

I swallowed hard, feeling a sudden lump forming in my throat.

I pushed back my chair and spoke up, addressing Jisoo unnie. "Unnie, it's done. I'll go," I said, my voice sounding strained even to my own ears.

Jisoo glanced up from the pot she was stirring and smiled at me. "Thank you so much," she said.

I smiled mildly with a nod and made my way out of the kitchen before making a small eye contact with him who gulped the water from the glass looking at me.

I could feel his gaze burning into my back as I left, the sensation causing a shiver to run down my spine.

Third Person's P. O. V.

The dinner was laid on the table by Jisoo, Jin and Jennie as everyone gathered around. The arrangements of seats were Lisa Rosé Jisoo, Jennie, Jin on one side and Taehyung, Jimin, Yoongi, Hoseok and Jungkook on the other.

In the middle of the table, an ornate pot of rice was placed, its steam gently rising in the air. Alongside it, there was a variety of Korean side dishes, each one more tantalizing than the last.

Jennie was perched in her seat, her eyes darting around the table as she waited for everyone to settle in. Lisa looked a little tired, but her face still held a natural beauty.

Jisoo was quietly listening to Jin, chuckling on his dad jokes as he kept talking constantly.

Lisa chuckled and rolled her eyes as she scooped some food onto her plate. "How does he have so many dad jokes?" she muttered to Rosé, shaking her head.

"I don't know," Rosé said, rolling her eyes again. "And frankly, I don't care. I'd rather listen to mosquitoes than his cringey jokes."

A pair of cold yet soft eyes remained trained on Jennie as she lifted the glass to her lips, her movements graceful and captivating.

She tilted her head back to take a sip of the cold drink. The eyes watched as the liquid cascaded down her throat, the smooth bob of her Adam's apple.

You've changed a lot, Mandu.

Wish I could turn back time, to undo the pain I've left behind. But the flames still flicker on my skin like a haunting ghost.

Jennie's P. O. V.

Wrapping myself in a plush bathrobe, I stepped out of the bathroom and headed towards the mirror. I looked at my reflection, droplets of water still lingering on my bare shoulders and face, making my skin glisten in the soft light.

I picked up the hairbrush on the vanity and began to run it through my damp hair, gently untangling any knots that formed while it was wet.

After finishing with my hair, I set the brush down and picked up the tube of lip balm. Twisting off the cap, I applied a generous amount of the moisturizing balm to my lips, smoothing it across them with my fingertips as my hand accidentally smudged the corner of my lip.

"And try to fix your lipstick before you go back out there. You look like you've been thoroughly debauched."

His words replayed in my mind as I applied the balm to my lips, causing me to pause for a moment. I could still vividly remember the feeling of his fingers on my face and the huskiness of his voice as he whispered those words to me.

The memory of that moment sent a shiver down my spine, and I couldn't help but let out a small sigh as I finished applying the lip balm and looked at my reflection again.

The lip balm made my already full lips look even more kissable, and the smudged lipstick made me look slightly disheveled. I imagined how he would react if he saw me right now.

Taking a deep breath, I ran my fingers through my hair, smoothing back any unruly strands, and then stood up from the vanity.

I stepped out of the bathroom and into my bedroom, the soft carpet muted the sound of my footsteps as I walked towards the open french doors that lead to the balcony.

The cool night air drifted in through the open windows, gently brushing against my face as I stepped out in the big balcony.

I walked over to the wicker rocking chair that sat in the corner of the balcony, the wood slightly creaking as I lowered myself into it. Settling back against the cushion, I let out a soft sigh and closed my eyes.

A soft chain of vocals escaped my throat through my lips as I jerked my head back on the chair.

"Lock me up and
throw away the key

He knows how to get
the best out of me

I'm no force for
the world to see

Trade my whole life
just to be

Top of the world
but I'm still not free

This is a secret
that I keep

Until it's gone
I can never find peace

Brace my whole life
just to be."
