Jennie snickered, her lazy eyes crinkling with amusement. "Yeah, and I'll be your sidekick. ' Jennie's Unamused Glare Service.'"
I couldn't help but laugh at her comment. "Oh, yeah. We'll make a great team."
Jennie shrugged, a small smile playing on her lips.
I rolled my eyes playfully. "Those men almost wet their pants when you looked at them."
Jennie snickered, her expression still nonchalant. "It's a talent, eonnie."
I shook my head, still amused by her attitude. "You're something else, Jennie. I don't know how you manage to remain so unbothered and lazy in every situation."
Jennie shrugged once again, her shoulders lazily rising and falling. "It's a gift, unnie."
I laughed at her response. "You make it sound like a superpower, Ruby. 'The Power of Laziness.' A true hero, through and through."
We made our way back to our previous seating, having successfully diffused the situation. Jennie settled back into her usual lazy position, her expression returning to its customary nonchalant state.
As we sat back down, Lisa leaned over and asked me quietly, her expression curious. "What happened, unnie?"
I sighed, feeling the exhaustion from the earlier ordeal settling in. "Some idiots decided to get into a fight, and Jennie and I had to step in and stop it before it got out of hand. Typical adult children, I tell you."
Lisa raised her eyebrows, her arms placed on her chest, "Seriously? At a party? That's just beyond ridiculous. Who were the ones fighting?"
I shrugged, still feeling annoyed by the memory. "Just a group of men with too much testosterone and too little brain cells. They were arguing about something, I don't even know what, and it escalated into a full-on brawl."
Lisa shook her head, her expression incredulous. "Unbelievable. And you had to deal with that mess? You should have just let unnie glare at them until they peed their pants."
I chuckled wryly, thinking back to Jennie's earlier glare. "Trust me, her glare was a big part of the problem-solving. Those men were practically quaking in fear when she fixed her lazy eyes on them."
Lisa snickered, clearly finding the situation amusing. "I can imagine. Her RBF is iconic. One look, and you're practically begging for mercy."
I nodded, a smile playing on my lips. "Yeah, it's a powerful weapon, that glare of hers. I'm thinking of using her as a secret weapon in future conflicts. Just send Ruby in, and the enemies will surrender in seconds."
Jennie's lazy eyes scanned the room, taking in the lively crowd. "Unnie, I'm getting tired," she said, her voice quiet and a little whiny. "When can we go home?"
I chuckled at Jennie's whiney tone. "Yeah, the night has been eventful," I replied. "But we can't leave just yet. We still need to make our rounds and say our goodbyes. It would be rude to just up and leave without thanking Jackson and his fiancé."
Rosé rolled her eyes, her head tilting slightly as she spoke. "Ugh, seriously? We have to socialize some more? Can't we just send a text or something? I'm exhausted."
I shook my head, a smirk playing on my lips at Rosé's response. "No can do, Rosé. It's all about image and etiquette. We need to make an appearance, give our regards, and then we can leave. Besides, it's for Jackson. We can't bail on him now."
Rosé sighed dramatically, her body slumping in resignation. "Fine, fine. I guess we'll play nice for a bit longer. But I'm counting down the minutes until I can get home and crash in my bed."
