As the hours passed, the party grew livelier. Music blared from the speakers, and the chatter of the guests filled the air. BLACKPINK sat in their booth, still relatively untouched by the chaos around them. Jisoo returned to the booth after some time, a sly smile on her lips.
"I've got some interesting information," she said quietly to the rest of the group.
"Jackson's fiancée isn't who everyone thinks she is."
Jennie arched her eyebrows, folding her arms across her chest. Lisa leaned in, her eyes fixed on Jisoo, and Rosé tilted her head slightly, curious about the information being shared.
"What do you mean?" Jennie asked, her voice firm as she met Jisoo's gaze with a narrowing of her eyes.
"Apparently, she's got a secret in her past that could shake things up if it came out," Jisoo said, her voice carefully hushed.
Jennie's eyes flickered, her arms dropping to her sides. Lisa let out a low whistle, and Rosé tilted her head again, widening her pupils.
"But she's been hiding it well," Jisoo continued, glancing around to make sure no one was eavesdropping.
"Jackson has no idea about her past. And if it comes out, it could cause quite the scandal."
"What's the tea?" was asked by Lisa who was breathing slow and steady, her full lips parted and her eyes resting on Jisoo's face. Her brows were slightly furrowed.
Rosé leaned forward, her chin resting in her hand as she hung on Jisoo's every word.
"She used to be a gang member in her teenage years," Jisoo said, a small smirk playing on her lips. "A powerful and feared gang leader, in fact."
Rosé let out a soft gasp, glancing at Jennie and Lisa with her mouth hung open.
After a few moments of silence, Rosé spoke up, her voice a low whisper. "Are you serious?"
Jisoo nodded, her smirk turning into a thin line. "Dead serious. I did my research, and it all checks out. She's a real dark horse, that one."
"But how does Jackson not know about this? I mean.... wouldn’t he have looked into her past before getting engaged to her?"
Jisoo shrugged, her smirk once again making its way to her heart-shaped lips. "That's the interesting part. She apparently went to great lengths to hide her past. She changed her name, moved around a lot, and made sure there were no traces of her past life. It's quite impressive, actually."
Lisa whistled again, her legs criss-crossed. "Damn, she's good. I bet she's got some stories to tell."
Jennie let out a soft scoff. "More like some skeletons in her closet. Can you imagine if Jackson finds out? It would be a nightmare for him and his reputation."
Jisoo nodded, her eyes sobering slightly. "Exactly. It could ruin everything. But he's so blinded by love that he doesn't even suspect a thing."
Jennie rolled her eyes. "Men are so predictable. They go around thinking with their hearts instead of their brains, and then they end up in messes like this."
Lisa chuckled, the tension in the air lessened by Jennie's comment. "Yeah, but Jackson's always been a bit of a romantic. He probably thinks they're meant to be, destiny and all that crap."
Rosé chimed in, pursing her lips together. "But what if she's changed? Maybe she really loves him and wants to leave her past behind?"
Jennie raised an eyebrow at Rosé's optimism. "It's not always that easy. Past actions have a way of catching up with you sooner or later."
Jisoo hummed in agreement, leaning back in her seat. "And if Jackson finds out about her past, it could shatter his trust in her completely. Trust is a hard thing to rebuild once it's broken."
Lisa waved her hand dismissively. "We're getting a bit too deep, talking about trust and crap. Let's go get some drinks."
Jennie rolled her eyes, but a secret smile tugged at the corners of her lips. "You just want an excuse to drink, don't you?"
Lisa shrugged unapologetically. "Why not, eonnie? We're here to have a good time, right? And talking about trust doesn't exactly put me in a party mood."
"Alright, let's go get those drinks." She stood up, smoothing out her dress.
"You coming, Rosie?"
Rosé nodded, a small smile on her lips. "Yeah, I could use a drink or two." She rose from her seat alongside Jennie.
"Eonnie?" Jennie glanced at Jisoo, who shook her head and said, "I'm going out for some fresh air. I need to escape the stuffiness of this place and the alcohol."
Jennie nodded understandly, a softer expression on her face. "Take care, eonnie."
"And we'll save you a seat at the bar, just in case you change your mind." Lisa sounded.
Jisoo chuckled and gave Lisa a salute. "Thanks Lis, but I won't change my mind. Don't wait up for me."
Rosé's P. O. V.
We were currently standing beside the luxurious and lavish bar as the bartender put his magic ingredients inside our cocktails before presenting it to us.
A gust of cool air entered through the big entrance, causing the chandeliers to sway gently and sending a shiver down my spine. Suddenly, I don't know how many figures appeared on the threshold, silhouetted against the soft glow of the room.
I took my time to count all of them as a small whisper escaped my lips, "seven."
I noticed Lisa murmering something to Jennie from the corner of my eye as my eyes were stuck upon the dark shadows.
Despite the room being full of people, it seemed as if everyone froze in place, their attention instantly drawn to those seven standing at the entrance. The room was filled with whispers and exclamations as people recognised the newcomers.
What's so special about them?
"Are they.... those bastards!?" I heard Lisa say, as I looked at them with my eyes little largening. BTS? The ones who kidnapped us?
"I'll show them hell-" I felt Lisa getting up from her stool which she was twirling around on for minutes.
"Sit down Lili," Jennie unnie interjected as Lisa just grumbled something which I couldn't quite hear before sitting back.
