Namjoon was sitting in his office, going over some documents when his office phone rang.
He picked it up and said, "Namjoon speaking."
There was a small pause before the office management's voice came through the line. "Sir, there is someone here who wishes to speak with you. They claim it's urgent.”
His eyebrows furrowed in curiosity. "Anyone I know?”
"They don't want to say anything more? Alright, send them in."
He hung up the phone and leaned back in his chair, waiting for the mysterious visitor.
The door to Namjoon's office opened, and a woman walked in. She was wearing a black mask that covered the lower half of her face, and her outfit was casual - a black skirt with a white top. On her wrists, she wore several shiny accessories.
Namjoon's eyes flicked from her feet up to her face. The mask made it difficult to get a good look at her. He gestured for her to sit down in the chair across from him. "You wanted to speak to me, Miss?"
The woman removed her mask, revealing her face. She was beautiful, with feline-like eyes and a sharp jawline. She crossed her legs crossed, leaning back in the chair, the picture of nonchalance.
Namjoon studied her with interest, trying to read her expression. She still hadn't spoken, which made him even more curious.
His eyes flicked down to the mask she had placed on the table. The logo on it was one that he was very familiar with, one that filled most of the world with fear - Blackpink.
His eyes widened slightly in surprise. "Blackpink?" he echoed, jerking his head up at the woman who was now smirking.
He leaned back in his chair, studying her more carefully now. With this new revelation, everything suddenly made sense.
The mask, the casual yet fashionable attire, her silence - it all screamed Blackpink. Was she here to negotiate? To attack? That was the million-dollar question.
He cleared his throat, leaning towards the table and resting his chin on his hand. "Can I ask, what brings a member of one of the most dangerous mafia to my office?"
The woman remained silent for a moment, eyeing Namjoon closely. It was almost unnerving, the way her gaze seemed to cut through him.
Then, finally, she spoke, her voice low and soft. "I have a proposition for you."
Hisa eyebrows raised in surprise. A proposition? From Blackpink? Definitely unexpected.
"I'm listening," he said cautiously.
The woman continued to study him, her gaze intense. "We have a common enemy," she said, her tone neutral. "EXO."
Namjoon's jaw clenched involuntarily at the mention of EXO. He had a long history with that gang, and it was never a pleasant one.
"And?" he asked, keeping his face expressionless.
The woman leaned forward, steepling her fingers in front of her. "We want to form an alliance," she said simply.
He leaned back in his chair, his eyes narrowing. "And why should I consider this partnership?"
The woman smiled slightly, a hint of a smirk playing at the corners of her lips. "Because, RM. You and I both know what EXO is capable of."
He spun his chair around idly, his expression nonchalant. "Not interested," he said, his voice dry.
The woman's smirk faded slightly, replaced by annoyance. "You haven't even heard our terms yet."
The male shrugged, still spinning his chair around. "I don't need to hear them. BTS has thrived on its own for years. We don't need anyone's help, especially not Blackpink."
He stopped spinning the chair, fixing the woman with a cold stare.
"Besides," he added, "I hardly think we can trust you and your gang. Betrayal is more likely than alliance in the world we live in.”
The woman's eyes flashed with anger. "Forgot the time you kidnapped three of my members?"
Namjoon raised an eyebrow. That was a memory he didn't particularly like to think about."That was a long time ago," he said coolly. "Circumstances have changed."
She leaned forward, her hands clenching into fists. "Circumstances haven't changed that much. We still hate each other, we still want each other gone."
"Then why come to me with this proposal in the first place?"
The two stared each other down in silence for a moment, neither willing to back down. But the woman seemed to rein in her anger, her expression becoming more neutral.
"Because," she said slowly, "like I said before, EXO is a common enemy. We're both too smart to let our rivalry with each other cloud that fact."
He was silent for a moment, mulling over her words. She had a point. EXO was a major threat to both BTS and Blackpink. But could he really trust a rival gang to have his back?
He drummed his fingers on the desk, his brow furrowed in thought. "I don't make decisions solely for BTS."
"What does that mean?"
Leaning forward, he rested his forearms on the desk. "It means that I don't make decisions without consulting with the other BTS members. They're my brothers, my family. We're united as a group."
The woman leaned back in her chair, spinning it in a slow circle, a smirk on her face. "Fine then. Meet the Blackpink members at Club Inferno. Bring your members with you."
She got up from her chair, fixing her black coat and adjusting her skirt. Her hand was on the glass door when Namjoon called out. "Wait."
The woman paused, turning her head slightly. "What?"
"What's your name?" Namjoon asked, his eyes on her back.
There was a small pause before she spoke. Without turning around, she said, "Hwang Yeji."
