Slumping down on the ground with the cold water bottle in his hand, he sighed, panting heavily after the practice.

While many were busy gathering their belongings and leaving, he simply sat down, intending to stay back and practice more.

He wasn't happy with himself.

No matter how hard he tried, he felt like a failure.

They just finished a T20 series against Australia.

But he only managed two double centuries in ten innings and one in fifteen innings.

He'd taken wickets in every match too

He'd got everyone around him tell him he played well.

Yet, he wasn't happy with himself.

And of-course there were critics.

Stating how he bad he played.

And that people hyped him for no reason.

His gaze travelled to the park at a distance from the ground.

Two teenagers sat on the swings as they went two and fro.

The girl seemed to be genuinely enjoying herself as she forced the swing to go faster.

" Prisha go slow!" The boy's voice raised with concern.

" I'm having fun!" She claimed as she shook her head.

" Prish! You might hurt yourself or end up feeling giddy with the speed."

" I won't! I'm sitting on a swing after ages!"

" Why? You didn't have swings in the U.K?" The boy mocked playfully

" I did...." She said, beginning to slow down.
" But they weren't as fun as they are with you."

" Ah so you missed me?"

"Did not!" Came the playful retort.

Avyaan smiled, his gaze flickering away, travelling back in time to those fond and treasured memories.

" Siya.....Siya wait! Siya you'll fall! Siya! The path is slippery! God why won't you listen to me?"

" Just admit it, you got worn out of running!"

" Fine. I practiced a lot today. It's natural to wear out okay? Besides, I can't be as energetic as you. It's almost as if you get sugar rushes!"

She giggled, and a smile cut across his face.

Her giggles sounded musical.

" Are you simply worn out because of practice, or is there more to it?"

Avyaan sighed.
" How do you always manage to read me so well?"
