Chapter 17
THE OTHER SIDE OF THE DOOR
AYAN
After a day of trekking and adventure, exhaustion had settled upon us like a comforting blanket. But Arjun had one more surprise in store.
He had planned this yachting experience for us all. The yacht sparkled with elegance, its sleek design provided a haven of luxury and comfort. Cushioned loungers lined the decks. The soft lapping of the waves against the hull provided a soothing soundtrack to our evening. The gentle breezes caressed our faces.
With a spacious lounge area and wooden accents, the interiors looked sophisticated. The panoramic windows allowed for breathtaking views of the sea with the well-appointed amenities for our relaxation.
As the yacht glided across the sea, the coastline shone with the twinkle of distant lights the city of Goa. The stars above seemed to shine even brighter.
I looked at Adira, who was engrossed in conversation with Kavya and Arjun. There was a pang of guilt in my chest as I remembered that night when we last shared a bed together, caught up in my own thoughts and desires.
The thought of going back to our daily routine, living under the same roof together, filled me with both apprehension and longing. The memories I had created with my friends in these few days were priceless, and I wished they could last forever.
I entered the living area of the yacht, I found Esha sitting there, looking a bit pale. Concern washed over me, and I approached her with a gentle smile.
"Hey, baby. You okay? You're not eating much.", I was worried about her the whole trip.
"Just a bit of seasickness, baby. I'll be fine.", she sighed.
"Come on, Esha. You know you can tell me anything. What's really going on?", I insisted.
"Okay, fine. It's my eating disorder. Sometimes it resurfaces, and I struggle with it.", she said with caution and care, forming her words.
I observed Esha, I couldn't help but think that people often misunderstood her. It's true; she wore a mask of indifference and portrayed a carefree attitude, giving the impression that looks and superficial things. were all that mattered to her. However, I knew there was more to her than what met the eye. Deep down, she was just a human with emotions and feelings like everyone else. Perhaps, behind that facade, there was a vulnerable side that she carefully concealed from the world.
"I'm here for you, Esha. You don't have to go through it alone." I cupped her face gently. I couldn't ignore the deep care and affection I had for Esha. The words tumbled out before I could stop them.
"Esha, I need you to know... what we had, it wasn't just a fling for me. I love you. I've loved you for a long time, and this trip has only made those feelings stronger. " I said softly.
