Sabrina's POV
Singbilis ng kidlat ang pag-iwas ko kay Red nang makita ko itong papalabas ng Cafeteria. After what happened, I don't know kung may mukha pa ba akong ihaharap dito. I never imagined that his parents would be involved immediately. I did not think it very well. Now, I have to deal with my consequences.
Pero may ginawa din naman siyang kasalanan sa akin. I was scared. I just want to get revenge and here I am hiding from him.
Halos lakad-takbo na ang pag-iwas ko nang mapansin kong sumunod ito sa akin. Some students are already giving me weird looks. I need to get rid of him!
Sa kakaiwas ko sa kanya ay napadpad ako malapit sa oval. I was catching my breath and decided to stop. Ihope I got him lost. Maraming mesa at bench ang nakahilera sa gilid. May iilang mga estudyante doon pero halos lahat sila tutok sa pagbabasa at chikahan. This is my first time coming here, I didn't know that there are a lot of benches and tables available here. It even has power outlets on each table for charging laptops or cellphones.
This is a good spot if you want to read and study because of the peaceful surroundings. I decided to sit on one of the vacant benches and rest for a while.
"I'm hungry," I said, just talking to myself. Hindi pa ako nakakakain ng lunch. Tumutunog na ang tiyan ko sa gutom.
"So what to do when you're hungry?" I heard someone said. Napatingin ako sa kabilang mesa at napakunot ang noo nang makita ang isang familiar na mukha. What's his name again?
Napatingin ako sa kanyang table at nakita ang marmaing mga libro at laptop naman sa bandang kanan. Aha! I remember him now. His name is Yuseff! The book lover guy.
Siya ba ang nagsalita kanina? Pero hindi naman siya nakatingin sa akin eh, as usual nakaharap naman ito sa kanyang libro. Maybe my mind just played a trick on me, yeahthat would make sense, especially that I'm this hungry. I really should eatnow.
I saw Yuseff lifted his head and turned to me. Nagulat naman ako sa ibinigay niyang tingin sa akin na tila may nagawa akong hindi niya nagustuhan. Teka wala naman akong ginagawa sa kanya ah.
He looks annoyed or something but I was not expecting it when he suddenly handed me a chocolate bar.
"Eat! You're so noisy. I can't understand what I'm reading." he said coldly.
"Anong sabi mo? I'm not noisy" I protested.
"Eat. You're distracting me" he commanded me like I don't have a choice but to oblige.
So arrogant just like Smiling Devil. Oo nga pala, may pinagtataguan ako. Palihim akong sumilip sa corridor at nagulat ng makita si Red na papunta na banda dito.
Paano niya nalaman na pumunta ako banda rito? Isa isa niyang tinitingnan ang mga mesa, for sure kung gagawin niya yan hanggang sa umabot siya dito sa dulo ay makikita na niya ako. Gustuhin ko mang tumakbo pero mas makakaagaw iyon lalo ng kanyang pansin.
I panic when Red looked at where I am. Nakita na ba niya ako? Without thinking, I grab one of Yuseff's books and used it to cover my face. I just prayed that he didn't notice me. From my peripheral vision, I can see the curious look of Yuseff like I'm stupid for getting his book. I even see him smirked.
"What are you doing?!" he asked me, now giving me his full attention.
"Continue reading your book. Don't mind me here" Bulong ko sa kanya. I even gestured him to be quiet at ipagpatuloy lang niya ang kanyang ginagawa but I was stunned when I heard someone cleared his throat, making his presence known.
