Chapter 13

SAKURA POV

The rest of the morning goes by smoothly then soon enough lunch rolls around.

"Alright class" said aizawa, "after lunch we will be having one on one battles in order to work on your quirks in combat" he looks at me with a slight worry.
"You will all be monitored by all night and I, dismissed"

I gulp and bring my tail to my lap nervously, as everyone starts getting up and getting excited for the upcoming matches after lunch.

'I've never really found for training it was always for survival' I thought to myself, 'what if I hurt someone badly'

"Hey scales" said an annoyed voice

I look up and see bakugo with his arms crossed and his red eyes looking down at me.

I tilt my head in confusion. "Yes bakugo?"

He looks at me for a second before letting out a small tsk. "Raccoon eyes wants you to join us for lunch" he said "unless you plan on sitting in class by yourself "

I look around and notice everyone else gone except bakugo and his group of friends.

"I'm sorry" I said getting up from my desk. "
I guess I was so lost in thought I didn't realize everyone had left"

"Tsk" be said before shoving his hands in his pockets and walks away.

I look down sadly thinking I annoyed him till Ashido comes up to me and links her arm in mine.

"Come in tango" she said "I'll walk with you"

"Thank you ashido" I said with a small smile "bit you don't have to walk with me if you don't want to, I'm sure you're friends are waiting"

She shakes her hand with a kind smile. "You are my friend silly," she says which shocks me. "And please call me mina"

"You sure?"

"Absolutely"

"Then please call me Sakura"

She squeezes my arm and pulls me along and we catch up to the rest of the group.

We then all grab something to eat and make our way to an open table and sat down.

Kirishima nudges me lightly making me look up at him.

"So what had you thinking so much?" He asks with a toothy smile "and you can call me eijiro"

I nod and give him a small smile. "I was thinking about the battles after lunch" I said "I technically have fighting experience but it was always against nomus so it was alway for survival, I never had to just fight to train or to just spar." I look down at my plate and play with my food, my wings drooping slightly. "I'm afraid I'm going to accidentally hurt someone since I'm so used to fighting to stay alive"

The entire table had gone quiet as they took in the information, and look at me sadly even bakugo but his was more with interest than sadness.

Eijiro places a comforting hand on my shoulder. "You'll be alright" he said "all of A-1 will be there to help you out, besides we're all fighting to train our quirks and to gain more fighting experience so we can become great heroes"

I look at the rest of the group and they all smile at me confidently, then I look back at eijiro with a smile of my own. "Thanks you guys" I said "I needed to hear that"

Mina gives me a bit tight hug making me struggle to breathe. "We'll totally have you're back" she said "besides I like having another girl in the group"

"M- mina can't breathe"

Everyone laughs minus bakugo

'I'll be fine' I thought 'just fine'
