While Lucy and Katie, did not leave Tim alone, the others pursued the suspect. Until the night. More than 3 hours had passed and the vaccine hadn't arrived yet. And Mr. Langston had died a few hours ago.

Lucy had sat down on the floor at the entrance and Katie had sat down at the door with the foil and leaned over.

"Hey... I talked to Dr. Morgan, the vaccine will be there in a few minutes." Katie lied. She also had to tell him what she had found out because if... She didn't even want to think about it...but he was right to know. "You can do many things well, but lying is not one of them..." he unbunked her lie. "You think I can't lie well? There's something I have to tell you... Actually, I wanted to tell you yesterday, but....I never found the right time....and that's far from the perfect time...but maybe it will never be....I had actually prepared something and wanted to tell you with it...but that's at home...so it has to go without...I'm pregnant.... You will be a father... We're having a baby..." Katie then stuttered and brought out not only Tim to pause but also Officer Chen, so she got up and sat down next to her training officer's girlfriend to be there for her.

But Tim had to process this first, he became a father??? He could never take the step with Isabel, but he always wanted to become a father. He thought the chance would be denied him, but obviously he got another chance. He already mentally imagined how he lay on the sofa together with Katie and her child and cuddled, all together and that brought him a tiny little spark of hope, which he thought he had already lost long ago. Of course, he was happy about this news, but he couldn't really show it. Not in such a situation.

"How are you? Do you have any symptoms?" Lucy distracted and reached for the hand of the brown-haired one, who wiped away a few tears that she had not even noticed as they had looked their way down her cheek.

"I was sweating like a pig...but... probably because there are 40°C here in the room," he replied exhausted. "Everything will be fine. I really believe that. I believe that we got them soon after and they experience the pregnancy together, with all the ups and downs, mood swings and cravings." Lucy cheered up the two officers and had to grin a little herself.

"Certainly she will....but if not...." Tim began and both of the women knew what he meant. "No. Don't think about it." Chen interrupted him. "But if not!!....I will definitely not give up like Peter here...."

"Tim?! What does that mean?" Katie asked him and the tears that had just wiped away have already been replaced by new ones. "When the time comes...then I will give up according to my own rules," he said and held his gun at hand in his hands.

Another half an hour later, Dr. Morgan finally came back.

"Tell me that's the vaccine," Katie asked the doctor hopefully. "Yes,it is," she said and the brown-haired exhaled with relief. It was about time. But when she wanted to go into the room, she was stopped. "Stop waiting here. You don't have protective clothing on." understandingly, she took a step back.

"Officer Bradford. You can let me in now." she asked him and the next moment the door opened and Tim and Katie's eyes met.

"How do you feel?" "Good. All in all," he replied. "Good. You are just at the edge of what we think is the incubation window. That you don't show any symptoms yet is good. But we still vaccinate them to make sure," Dr. Morgan explained to him. "It's still experimentally, correct?" He wanted to know and his gaze didn't leave his girlfriend's for a second. It was almost scary how the two stared at each other.

"That's correct. So, now we have to wait and see what happens. Maybe nothing. Maybe you grow horns. But for now I would say you were lucky again."

Until tomorrow, they still spent the time inside the house for safety. Before they were allowed to go.

When she came out of the house, after the disinfection shower, Katie first took a deep breath of fresh air and the next moment she already felt a few arms looping around her from the front. It was Angela.

"I'm glad you're doing well," she said with relief and let go of her best friend. "I told him," Katie confessed to her and both friends looked at each other somehow relieved.

"I bet my pension he told the doctors. "Tim Bradford doesn't sit in the wheelchair." Angela laughed and pointed behind Katie at Tim who was just leaving the tent. "I will walk away here on my own two feet." Talia laughed now too. Katie, on the other hand, made her way and also ran to her boyfriend and grabbed his hand. "Don't you have to do any paperwork?" He just annoyed them.

"TIM!!!" Everyone called out when Tim suddenly fainted backwards and Katie was pushed away from him.
