"It takes too long," Katie said after she finally managed to sit up somehow. "We're sitting here waiting to die," Kim added, desperate that it took so long. She just wants to get out of here again. "That's a bad strategy."
"Yes, I agree with her," Hailey finally said and looked for a damn way to get out of here. Hailey now joined Kim with a chain that she should use to loosen the cable ties. She managed to loosen herself and helped Hailey to loosen hers. They were finally able to run away from here when they realized that Katie was fastened with a chain and they would not get it out so easily.
"Now it's disappearing. If you don't go, we will all die," she begged the two, but both refused. "Not without you. Then we all die, Kat. We won't leave you behind, especially not like that." Hailey said and put a reassuring hand on her sister's shoulder before she tried to find something that could help them.
"Then you have to find a way to bring your people to us," she said, so Kim and Hailey decided to look together for everything they needed to set a fire outside, which if it were planned should distract the men's and lead their people to them. The two quickly made the fire before they returned to Katie.
The intelligence team was already on the road in the forest in search of the three.
Logan finally came back when Hailey just threw the match on the wood. He came in just to find out that Hailey and Kim were gone. Angry, he yelled at Katie to tell him where they were, but she only answered that he should go to hell, which only made him even more angry. He mumbled something before he approached the woman. He heard her scream as he began to search her with his hands. He quickly found something under her coat. "Is that a vest?" He yelled at her and took a few steps back.
"God... you're a cop," he said, frightened.
She smiled a little. "I am a cop. My friends are cops. And they will look for us and we all know what you look like. Even if you kill me, you're done. You're done." she screamed and watched KIm run back into the room and jump on the man's back. Both, Hailey and Kim, tried to fend him off and weaken him. To get him on the floor somehow.
They managed to get him to the ground and Kim quickly held a gun to him. Katie, on the other hand, kicked his ribs from the ground again and again. "Katie, stop! I got him," Kim yelled at her, but she wasn't quite with her anymore. She was in her own world and wanted to let him pay for what was done to them.
When the team finally arrived, Hailey also turned to her sister. Hey. We have him. You can let go," she said calmly and pulled her carefully to her. Together, Jay and Hailey loosened the chains before they took Katie to the ambulance and had them taken care of.
"Are you okay?" Hailey asked her when Katie saw her arrive at the station. "I'm fine. My nose is just a little swollen. Nothing broken or anything. And my hip is also doing well. They sewed and connected the wound. Then I could go," she answered her.
"Do you... would you like to go out for a drink with us? We sometimes go to Molly's in the evening. A bar where both the doctors from the Med, as well as the firefighters and we go," she asked and waited for an answer. "I'd love to. Then we can exchange stories even further." Katie suggested joyfully and arm in arm the two made their way to Molly's.

"Do you actually have someone by your side?" Hailey now asked curiously which one was sitting across from Katie. Next to her, Jay had found his place and placed his arm over Hailey's chair back. Stella Kidd, a tough firefighter from Fire Station 51, had sat down next to Katie and the two had now talked all evening and exchanged interests. They got along really well with each other. They shared similar interests. Stella's friend Kelly Severide had also been able to meet her. Everyone with who Hailey often worked or spent time was really nice and man could have a good conversation with them.
"Yes, there's someone...but it's complicated." she grinned and drank a big sip of her beer. "And weeennnnn?" Hailey asked very excitedly now. "Do you still kno Tim?" Wanted to know the brown-haired woman. "Tim Bradford? I'm sure I still know it. You were always together so you hardly had time for me." laughed the younger of the two. "Yes, of course. Tim Bradford. We have... More and more time spent together. And at some point we confessed our feelings. And then we came together.." she began to tell. "But??? That can't be the only thing?" Stella now questioned, who listened curiously. "We have a child together..." Katie then said so quietly as if it wasn't funny at all. "Do you have a child together? I mean when? And how?"
Hailey was overwhelmed with the news. You don't learn every day that your own sister has a child without ever having learned anything about it.
"Yes... after we confessed our feelings... something happened between us... and I got pregnant... and a few months ago our son was born.. Elliot... he is my little angel... he is now 3 months old..." she raved and showed them a picture of Elliot, which she also had as a background image of her cell phone.
"Aww.. he's cute." Stella raved and looked closely at the picture. "Not that you and Severide also want a child now," Jay joked and looked over at Kelly who was sitting at the bar. "We're not that far yet...I think." she refused. "Where does the name come from?" Jay asked curiously. "Um...my...our brother.... His name was Elliot... he died when he was relatively young... he got in the way of a gang and was shot... the detective who was responsible for it made a hard wrong decision.... But he is now in prison and he will stay there," she told him.
"I'm glad you're happy," said Hailey and stood up briefly to hug her sister. "If you come to visit me in LA, I'll introduce you to Elliot." Katie suggested and Hailey nodded joyfully.
